The present study sought to identify the negative effects on pregnant patients and those suffering from appendicitis who underwent appendectomy. Furthermore, the quality of life of the participants was evaluated in order to ascertain any statistical differences in Iraq during the period spanning from 2022 to May 2024. The cases encompassed 110 patients diagnosed with acute appendicitis who received treatment across multiple hospitals in Iraq during the period spanning from 2022 to May 2024. The participants in the study ranged in age from 18 to 40 years, with a mean age of (27.15 ± 4.28) years in the control group and from 20 to 50 years in the laparoscopic appendectomy group, with a mean age of (29.28 ± 3.45) years. A statistical analysis was conducted to ascertain whether there was a significant difference in the baseline data between the two groups (P > 0.05), and this indicated that the two groups were comparable. Regarding newborns, the following data is collected: weight (g) ± 200.93. The data presented in Table 4 provides a comprehensive overview of the outcomes observed in patients undergoing laparoscopic appendectomy (Operating time (min): 40-80 min; length of postoperative stay (days): 3-6 days) and open surgery (50-80 min; 5-8 days). The newborn data set includes weight (g) of 3400 ± 200.93, gestational age (d) of 280.1 ± 9.8, Apgar score < 7 at 5 minutes for patients 10, and pH of umbilical cord < 7.15 for patients 4. The data set from the open group shows a weight of 3100.3 ± 199, gestational age (d) of 277 ± 7.9, and Apgar score < 7 at 5 minutes for 17 patients. In cases where surgical intervention is deemed necessary, laparoscopic appendectomy is recommended for pregnant patients. Laparoscopy is considered to be both technically safe and feasible during pregnancy when performed by a laparoscopic expert.
The aim of this study was investigating the correlation between elevation of Prolactin levels and the increase of the concentrations of total sialic acids. The study was performed on 149 women consisted of 93 infertile hyperprolactinimic women (patients), age ranged16-38 years old, and 56 normoprolactinemic women as a control group, 18-37 years old. Serum prolactin (PRL) and gonadotroph hormones (Follicle stimulating hormone FSH and Luteinizing hormone LH) were measured using enzymatic immunoassay (EIA) method, resorcinol method for serum total sialic acids (SIA). Patients were divided into four groups, each group represented the level of prolactin of infertile women as follow: G1= (21-30), G2= (31-40), G3= (41-50), and G4= (51-60) ng/mL. S

Omentin-1 is secreted by the visceral adipose tissue and it isdonated in the regulation of bone metabolism in postmenopausal women which is related with decreased bone mineral density. The current study aims to investigate the role of serum omentin-1and some bone metabolism markers in osteoporosis among postmenopausal Iraqi women. This study was performedin the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Unit, Baghdad Teaching Hospital/ Baghdad medical city, during the period from November 2019 to July 2020 with a total of 60 postmenopausal women(30 with osteoporosis and 30 without osteoporosis), their ages ranged from 52 to 62 years. This paper presents a methodology for assessing positional and shape quality for authoritative large-scale data, such as Ordnance Survey (OS) UK data and General Directorate for Survey (GDS) Iraq data, and Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI), such as OpenStreetMap (OSM) data, with the intention of assessing possible integration. It is based on the measurement of discrepancies among the datasets, addressing positional accuracy and shape fidelity, using standard procedures and also directional statistics.
