In recent years, infectious diseases are increasingly being encountered in clinical settings. Due to the development of antibiotic resistance and the outbreak of these diseases caused by resistant pathogenic bacteria, the pharmaceutical companies and the researchers are now searching for new unconventional antibacterial agents. Recently, in this field, the application of nanoparticles is an emerging area of nanoscience and nanotechnology. For this reason, nanotechnology has a great deal of attention from the scientific community and may provide solutions to technological and environmental challenges. A common feature that these nanoparticles exhibit their antimicrobial behavior against pathogenic bacteria. In this report, we evaluate the antibacterial activity of Ag, Fe and ZnO nanoparticles against both Gram-negative (E. coli and P. aeruginosa) and Gram-positive (Staph. aureus) bacteria, using agar well diffusion method, as well as determine of minimal bactericidal concentrations by the broth dilution method. The results showed that antibacterial activities of these nanoparticles were found active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria used in this study. Among the three nanoparticles, Ag nanoparticles have excellent bactericidal potential, while Fe nanoparticles exhibited the least bactericidal activity.
Some degree of noise is always present in any electronic device that
transmits or receives a signal . For televisions, this signal i has been to s the
broadcast data transmitted over cable-or received at the antenna; for digital
cameras, the signal is the light which hits the camera sensor. At any case, noise
is unavoidable. In this paper, an electronic noise has been generate on
TV-satellite images by using variable resistors connected to the transmitting cable
. The contrast of edges has been determined. This method has been applied by
capturing images from TV-satellite images (Al-arabiya channel) channel with
different resistors. The results show that when increasing resistance always

The Evaluation of the immune response in Golden Hamsters experimentally infected with Leishmania donovani was determined in this study, particularly, the cellular immune response. Follow up has maintained to determine the Delayed Type of Hypersensitivity using skin test both in infected and control lab animals. Chicken red blood cells were used as a parameter to evaluate the immune system; they are dull and have the ability of immunization. Two concentrations of chicken R.B.C were examined to determine which gives the higher titration in Hamsters and those were 1.5 X 109 cell/ml and 3 X 109 cell/ml , the second concentration gave the maximum titration where then used in this work. After sensitization with Chicken R.B.C for both in

An accurate adaptation of crown is possible only when preparation details are captured adequately in the impression and transferred to cast. For these reasons, gingival displacement is necessary to capture subgingival preparation details. The aim of the present study is to measure in vivo the horizontal displacement of the gingival sulcus obtained by using three new cordless retraction materials (Magic Foam Cord®, Racegel and Astringent Retraction Paste) in comparison to medicated retraction cord. Results showed variation in antibacterial activity of different extracts against the studied bacteria. Hot alcoholic extracts showed the highest antibacterial activity followed by hot water extract. Additionally, alcoholic extracts of seeds revealed a higher activity compared with other plant extract. Results of sensi

Exploiting the LSPs in metallic nanoparticle (NP)-based solar cells was shown to increase the efficiency of solar panels. A large extinction cross section of NPs allows for high scattering of light at the surface of the panel, which reduces the panel thickness, allowing for small size and low-cost solar cells. In this paper, the extinction cross-section of spherical nanoparticles is studied and simulated numerically. Surface plasmons were first modeled using the Drude’s model then the scattering and absorption cross-sections were derived. Commercial3D simulation software was used to model the near field dis

It is known to produce biofilms, a community of bacteria enclosed within a protective polymeric matrix. This study aimed to establish whether the biofilm formation by Enterococcus faecalis can be inhibited with steralium, co+steralium, and 5% sodium hypochlorite in the root surface environment. Materials and Methods: Extracted human teeth were biomechanically prepared, vertically sectioned, placed in the tissue culture wells exposing the root canal surface to E. faecalis to form a biofilm. At the end of the 3rd and 6th weeks, all groups were treated fo
