Background and Aim: The present study aimed to investigate the pathogenic ability of Cronobacter sakazakii in neonatal mice through the evaluation of its effect on liver tissue and the associated histopathological changes . Methods: Isolates of C. sakazakii were obtained from the Microbiology and Molecular Laboratory, College of Education for Pure Science (Ibn Al-Haitham), University of Baghdad, and were confirmed by 16S rRNA sequencing from samples of infant formula, spinal fluid, and blood. Forty-five neonatal mice aged between 10 and 16 days were obtained from the Iraqi Center for Cancer and Medical Genetics. The animals were divided into three experimental groups, the first group as a control and given only distilled water, the second and third group 10³ cells/ml , 10⁵ cells/ml administered of C. sakazakii (AIC) . Liver tissues were collected from the animals, processed for histopathological examination, sectioned, stained. Results: The results showed liver tissue was found represented by types of necrosis, including focal necrosis, hydropic and ballooning degeneration, swelling of liver cells vacuolated degeneration, congestion in blood vessels, extensive and diffuse hemorrhage , absent of normal structure of the liver cords, as well as The presence of many inflammatory cells in the liver is a sign of chronic inflammation . Conclusion: The study shows C. sakazakii causes severe liver damage in neonatal mice, linked to virulence factors OmpA and OmpX that aid adhesion and invasion. Though rare, infections are fatal in preterm infants. This model advances research on mechanisms, progression, and treatment.
The quantitative determination of the estrogen E2, Progestron P4 & follicle stimulating hormones FSH in the serums of Albino mice used in the experiments & treated by crude alcoholic extracted 95% of the seeds & leaves of Apium graveolens was a significant increase in the concentration of estrogen of different kinds of the extracted in comparison with the values of the coefficient of the control group, that is the study recorded a significant increase of the concentration of estrogen; it was the highest in the mice which was administrated by the methanolic extracted 95%, then it was less in the mouse which was administrated by the ethanolic extracted., and it was the least in the mice which were administrated by the crude ethanolic-methano

This study aimed to measure the HbsAg titers in chronic HBV patients and to assess its correlation with patients' ages, gender, and with the levels of liver enzymes and total serum bilirubin. Materials and Method: Fifty-eight chronic hepatitis B infected patients were enrolled in this study. Age and gender of the patients were recorded. HbsAg concentration was tested with automated Immunoanalyzer. The patients were also tested for ALT, AST, ALP, and TSB by automated chemistry analyzer. Results: All the chronic HBV patients have positive HBsAg titers above the negative cutoff (0.05U/L) with mea

However, only little researches had supported its effect on solid abdominal organs. This study aims to investigate the effects of different doses of Sudafed in the liver and kidney of albino mice. The current study included 18 albino mice grouped into 2 groups: control (3 mice), and acute group (15 mice). The acute group was further subdivided into 5 subgroups, each subgroup of 3mice wasgiven a lonely intaperitonial injection of 0.3ml of the following conc. A biomarker that provides a quantitative measure of changes in the brain due to AD in the early stages would be useful for early diagnosis of AD, but this would involve dealing with large numbers of people because up to 50% of dementia sufferers do not receive formal diagnosis. Thus, there is a need for accurate, low-cost, and easy to use biomarkers that could be used to detect AD in its early stages. Potentially, electroencephalogram (EEG) based biomarkers can play a vital role in early diagnosis of AD as they can fulfill these needs. This is a cross-sectional study that aims to demon

This study aimed to test the effect of orthodontic treatment in improvement the facial esthetics. Materials and Methods: Ten Iraqi Arab females having bimaxillary protrusion based on Class I malocclusions treated with fixed orthodontic appliance and extraction of the maxillary and mandibular 1st permanent premolars. Pre and post-treatment facial profile photographs were taken for each patients and the effect of treatment was tested in comparison with the pre-treatment photographs by using seven angular measurements. Gliotoxin (GT) is sulfur-containing mycotoxin within the 2,5-diketopiperazines class. First discovery from Gliocladium. Later discovered from different strains belonging to Aspergillus fumigatus mainly those have glicluster. This study outlines a study on the histological effects of gliotoxin (GT) on mouse brain and spleen tissues using light and electron microscopy, with a focus on its interaction with matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Histopathological changes through MMPs expressing variability estimated by using Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Mature mice were injected intraperitoneally with acute doses determined by data response analysis (EC50/IC50) as (125, 250, and 500 μg/ml) of GT and compared with a control group that received (metha
