The Effect of Using an Electronic Program with Supplementary Tools on the Development of Futsal Officiating Performance Among Female Students of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences
...Show More Authors

Due to the numerous motor and performance skills required of female students in futsal refereeing during college lessons, along with the constant need to reposition themselves and move within the playing field, continuous monitoring and repetition are essential to minimize potential errors during performance. These errors may arise from failing to assume the correct position or delays in signalling officiating gestures. Addressing this issue necessitated the implementation of an electronic program and supplementary tools—such as electronic games, scientific posters illustrating officiating signals, and other instructional aids—since these serve as guiding tools that direct individuals toward correct performance by distinguishing between accurate and erroneous execution. Accordingly, instructional displays play a fundamental role in the learning process, particularly through explanatory video clips for third-year students in futsal lessons, aiming to reduce refereeing errors in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the sport. The research objectives were: [1, pp. 56–65] to develop an electronic program that clarifies infractions and officiating signals for female students in futsal, and [2, p. 0022] to design supplementary instructional tools, including scientific posters and electronic games, to illustrate infractions and officiating signals for female students in futsal. The research sample was selected using a purposive sampling method, targeting third-year female students at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, with a total population of 52 students. The research sample was then determined through random sampling using the lottery method, selecting students from two sections (A and B). Section A consisted of 13 students, while Section B included 12 students. From each section, 10 students were randomly chosen through the lottery method to represent the experimental and control groups, with Section A assigned as the experimental group and Section B as the control group. Through data presentation and result analysis, the researchers concluded that refereeing performance improved, and errors decreased among the students while officiating during the lessons. The findings demonstrated that the electronic program contributed to enhancing students’ refereeing performance, yielding significantly better results compared to those who learned refereeing without the use of the designed program. Based on these results, the study recommends the integration of the electronic program into futsal lessons, as it facilitates achieving lesson objectives in a shorter time, with less effort, and in a more engaging manner. and this achieves one of the sustainable development goals of the United Nations in Iraq which is (Quality Education)

Waste-derived silica and alumina as sustainable additives for enhanced water-based drilling mud formulations
...Show More Authors

The escalating generation of industrial waste alongside the growing demand for high-performance, environmentally sustainable drilling fluids presents critical challenges to the oil and gas sector. Conventional drilling fluid additives are predominantly synthesized from virgin materials, contributing to resource depletion and environmental burden. Objectives: This study pioneers a circular economy approach by synthesizing silica nanoparticles (SiO2NPS) and alumina nanoparticles (Al2O3NPs) entirely from locally sourced industrial waste — bentonite clay and aluminum scrap, respectively — and evaluating their performance as functional additives in water-based drilling fluids (WBDFs). Novelty: To the best of our knowledge, this represents th

Mesogenic materials incorporating 4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-thiol moiety: Synthesis, characterization and liquid crystals study
...Show More Authors

Three series of monomers, polymers and thioester cyclic compounds containing 4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-thiol moiety were synthesized and examined for their liquid crystalline properties. All monomers, polymers and thioester compounds were characterized by elemental analysis and FTIR, 1 H-NMR and mass spectroscopy. The phase transition and mesomorphic properties were investigated by polarized optical microscope (POM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The monomer with terminal phenyl substituent display dimorphism nematic and smectic A (SmA) mesophases. The corresponding polymers derived from acrylic and phenyl acrylic acid monomers show nematic mesophase. The only thioester cyclic compound derived from terephtaloyl chloride show nemati

Toward Efficient Virtual Cell-Based Topology Management and Adaptive Routing for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks
...Show More Authors

Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) play a vital role in ocean monitoring and exploration. However, harsh underwater conditions and frequent topology changes caused by node and sink mobility pose significant challenges for reliable routing. Conventional routing protocols that depend on global route reconstruction and static paths generate excessive control overhead and degrade performance in large-scale underwater environments. In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient virtual cell-based mobile-sink adaptive routing (VC-MAR) protocol for UWSNs. The sensing field is logically partitioned into a three-dimensional grid of virtual cells, where a cell-gateway is elected in each cell to construct a low-overhead routing backbon

Phase Change Process in a Zigzag Plate Latent Heat Storage System during Melting and Solidification
...Show More Authors

Applying a well-performing heat exchanger is an efficient way to fortify the relatively low thermal response of phase-change materials (PCMs), which have broad application prospects in the fields of thermal management and energy storage. In this study, an improved PCM melting and solidification in corrugated (zigzag) plate heat exchanger are numerically examined compared with smooth (flat) plate heat exchanger in both horizontal and vertical positions. The effects of the channel width (0.5 W, W, and 2 W) and the airflow temperature (318 K, 323 K, and 328 K) are exclusively studied and reported. The results reveal the much better performance of the horizontal corrugated configuration compared with the smooth channel during both melti

Abstract<p>A step to net-zero of carbon dioxide losses in the microalgae cultivation process was targeted in the current study. This research was carried out by using pre-dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) as a source of carbon with two doses of twenty-five and fifty millilitres. C. sorokiniana MH923013, Coelastrella MH923011 and Coelastrella MH923012 strains were used in the present investigation. The experimental data emphasized the direct influence of carbonic solution on microalgal growth according to the fast adaption of algal cells and higher productivity compared to control and dilution cultures.
