The experiment was conducted at field of garden of Department of Biology, Collage
of Education (Ibn-Al-Haitham) University of Baghdad during winter season of 2009-2010.
The aim of present study is the effect of growth regulator Gibberellins by using two
concentrations (100, 200) ppm and also Thiamine in two concentrations (10, 50) ppm, on the
some yield component characters and active component of volatile oil Cumin (Cuminum
cyminum L.).
The results showed that GA3 in (100) ppm increased the yield component, protein
concentration and increased in Cuminaldehyde, Perillaldehyde and Thyoml concentration.

This hydrochemical study of the surface and groundwater in Khan AL-Baghdadi  area, western Iraq,  included the interpretation of physical, chemical, and biological properties. Water samples were collected from wells (14 samples) and surface water of Euphrates River (6 samples) for the dry and wet periods of October 2018 and April 2019, respectively. Multi-spectral satellite images of the Landsat satellite by the tow sensitive Thematic Mapper (TM) and Thematic Mapper Enhancement (ETM+), which covered the study area located south east of Iraq. In this research; used the sixth thermal spectral band (Thermal Band) for study the water cover in the AlRazzaza Lake located within the province of Karbala. We intended to study the cover a case of the study area, used satellite images showing the status of region during the period from 1990 to 2001 and 2007. From this study we conclude that cover the water of the study area change in sequence case to decrease during these years.

Water quality has become an important requirement in recent years, assumed the enormous pressure on water resources. As a result of the rapid population growth and climate change. Seven sampling stations were chosen along the river, specifically near the important cities. After analyzing the water samples, it was found that pH values range from (7.1 to 7.5). The values of total dissolved ions ranged from (730 to 1390) mg/l. It was found that the sodium percentage in the river water samples ranged from (36.8 to 51.3), which is acceptable for irrigation purposes.
