Bio-binders are increasingly gaining attention in the pavement community as sustainable alternatives to conventional petroleum-derived asphalt binders. While complete replacement of asphalt binder remains challenging, growing environmental concerns and energy crises demand at least partial substitution with renewable and eco-friendly materials. In this context, this study explores the use of pomegranate molasses (PM), a natural bio-based product, as a novel asphalt binder modifier. A comprehensive experimental program was conducted to evaluate the chemical, thermal, rheological, and mechanical effects of PM incorporation at three dosages (10%, 20%, and 30% by weight of asphalt binder) compared with a reference binder (RB). Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy confirmed the presence of oxygenated functional groups (O–H, C=O, S=O) introduced by PM, while thermogravimetric analysis showed that the modifier is thermally stable under asphalt mixing and compaction temperatures. Binder-level testing revealed improved viscosity and high-temperature performance with PM addition, along with enhanced fatigue life at moderate dosages. At the mixture level, Marshall stability increased by about 11%, wheel-tracking results showed up to a 45% reduction in rut depth, and cracking resistance evaluated through the Asphalt Flexibility Ratio (AFR) improved at PM10% and PM20% before declining at PM30%. The tensile strength ratio (TSR) remained above the 80% threshold for all mixes, while the resilient modulus (Mr) increased with PM content. One-way ANOVA confirmed that PM had a statistically significant effect on rutting resistance (P=0.011) but no significant effect on fatigue, TSR, or stiffness. Overall, PM demonstrated strong potential as a sustainable bio-modifier, with 20% PM identified as the optimum dosage, offering the best balance of resistance to rutting, fatigue, cracking, and moisture damage. Further field validation is required to translate these laboratory findings into practical applications.
<span lang="EN-US">The use of bio-signals analysis in human-robot interaction is rapidly increasing. There is an urgent demand for it in various applications, including health care, rehabilitation, research, technology, and manufacturing. Despite several state-of-the-art bio-signals analyses in human-robot interaction (HRI) research, it is unclear which one is the best. In this paper, the following topics will be discussed: robotic systems should be given priority in the rehabilitation and aid of amputees and disabled people; second, domains of feature extraction approaches now in use, which are divided into three main sections (time, frequency, and time-frequency). The various domains will be discussed, then a discussion of e

Lipid dosage forms are attractive delivery systems for such hydrophobic drug molecules. Nanoemulsion (NE) is one of the popular methods that has been used to solve the solubility problems of many drugs. LCDP was formulated as a NE utilizing triacetin as an oil phase, tween 80 and tween 60 as a surfactant and ethanol as a co-surfactant. Nine formulas were prepared, and different tests performed to ensure the stability of the NEs, such as thermodyna

Methods: The study entailed subjecting water samples from Kelantan, Malaysia, to reproduce the natural circumstances that promote the growth of V. cholerae. Subsequently, the samples were contaminated with the V. cholerae O1 El Tor Inaba strain and treated using VPUSM 8. The study employed a controlled experimental design, wherein the samples were divided into three groups, each experiencing different treatment methods. Quantifying the number of colony-

Different experiments were conducted involving the controlling parameters such as air velocity, spray water to air mass flow rate ratio, spray water flow rate, ambient air wet bulb temperature and the provided heat load to investigate their effects on the performance of the ICCCCT. Also the effect of using packing on the performance of the ICCCCT was investigated. It was noticed that these parameters affect the tower performance and the use of packing materials is a good approach to enhance the performance for different operational conditions. Correlations for mass and heat transfer coefficients are pres

The high thermal cyclic load is usually coming from high temperature, high pressure, start-up, shut-down and load change. An experimental and numerical analysis was carried out on the real blade and model of blade to simulate the real condition in gas turbine. The pressure, temperature distribution, stress intensity factor and the thermal stress in model of blade have been investigated numerically using ANSYS V.17 software. The experimental works were carried out using a particular designed and manufactured rig to simulate the real condition that blade suffers from. A new cont

This approach was based on the experimental and histological investigation of biowaste pods shell. This investigation showed that these shells compose of parenchyma cells that store secondary metabolites compounds produced from cells were exhibited in present study. The results also reported that these compounds are extracted directly from the cells as soon as they are exposed to an aqueous solution, hampering their use as an adsorbent material. The increase in the weight of bio-waste adsorbent at unit liquid volume increases the production of secondary metabolites compounds

The experiments were carried out by electrochemical cell with a rotating cylinder electrode as cathode. The impacts of different operating conditions on mass transfer coefficient were analyzed such as rotation speeds 100-500 rpm, electrolyte temperatures 30-60 , and cupric ions concentration 250-750 ppm. The order of copper reduction reaction was investigated and it shows a first order reaction behavior. The mass transfer coefficient for the described system was correlated with the aid of dimensionless groups as fo
