Four mixed ligand complexes were prepared from 1,10-phenanthroline (Phen), 5-chlorosalicylic acid (CSA), and anthranilic acid (Anthra) dissolved in aqueous ethanol at a ratio of (1:1:1:1) M: Phen:CSA: Anthra, M(II)= Cu, Zn, Cd, and Hg. The prepared compounds were analyzed by flame atomic absorption, FT-IR, UV-Vis, and spectroscopic methods, as well as conductivity measurements and magnetic properties. After analyzing the prepared compounds using the acquired data, the complexes formed by mixing ligands were concluded to adopt an octahedral geometry. That study has been conducted to test the inhibitory effectiveness of the complexes (1,10-Phenanthroline (Phen), 5-Chlorosalicylic acid (CSA), Na[Cu(Phen)(CSA)(Anthra), Na[Zn(Phen)(CSA)(Anthra)], Na[Cd(Phen)(CSA)(Anthra)] and Na [Hg(Phen)(CSA)(Anthra)] at a concentration 10-3 mg /mL against some types of bacteria that cause urinary tract infections ( S. aureus, S. epidermidis, E.coli, K.pneumoniae and C. albicans) and test its sensitivity by Vitek -2 system to the most common antibiotics used in hospitals at the present time. The results showed that all complexes showed high inhibitory activity. All of these bacterial species and Candida albicans were resistant to antibiotics (meropenem, penicillin, gentamicin, imipenem, cefixime, ceftriaxone, amoxicillin, azithromycin, tobramycin, levofloxacin, and vancomycin). By making the prepared compounds resistant to antibiotics, they can be used as pharmaceutical compounds. characteristic tissues and cells, exerting their pharmacological aspects and alleviating a lot of diseased processes. Accordingly, this research is about introducing some isatins to be nucleophilically attacked at C3 forming products of azomethine ylide functionality. These iminium compounds were made by allowing certain isatins to be reacted with the secondary amino acid, proline, at acetic acid and methanol medium and then collected after purification to be identified with total Leukocyte count (TLC) and melting point. The structural characterization was performed by fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), and community health nursing (CHN) analysis. Show More5-Fluorouracil is one of the commonly used chemotherapy drugs in anticancer therapy; unfortunately treatment with 5-FU by solely has many drawbacks low lipophilicity, low permeability, low molecular weight, and its relatively poor plasma protein binding; also a brief half-life therefore frequent administration is required to maintain the optimal therapeutic plasma level which in addition to its poor selectivity, drug resistance and limited penetration to cancer cells; leads to increased incidence of side-effects to healthy cells/tissues and low response rates. In order to minimize these drawbacks; 5-FU was chemically conjugated with pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (PDTC) in a mutual prodrug moiety (S-(9H-purin-6-yl) 3-(

This work is based on the synthesis of Cobalt(II) and Cadmium(II) mixed-ligands compounds obtained from the reaction of N'-(4-methylsulfanyl-benzoyl)-hydrazine carbodithioic acid methyl ester as a ligand and using ethylendiamine (en), 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy) or 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) as a co-ligand. The synthesis of ligand (HL) was based on multi-steps synthetic procedure. The reaction of 4-methylsulfanyl-benzoyl chloride with hydrazine gave 4-methylsulfanyl-benzoic acid hydrazide. This compound was reacted with carbon disulfide and potassium hydroxide in methanol to yield N'-(4-methylsulfanylbenzoyl)-hydrazine potassium thiocarbamate, which upon reaction with methyl iodide resulted in the formation of the ligand. A New ligand, N-(2-oxo-1,2- Dihydropyrimidin-4- ylcarbamothioyl) Acetamide (DPA) was prepared by reaction of iso thiosyanate derivative with Cytosine. The ligand has been characterized through elemental analysis, H1 NMR, C13NMR, FT-IR, and UV Visible spectra, such ligand’s transition metal complexes have been characterized through conductivity measurement, FT-IR, UV Visible spectra and magnetic susceptibility, all the complexes of this ligand are solid crystal and molar ratio (2:1) (ligand: metal). The form of molecular for these complexes octa hedral. The general formula [M(DPA)2Cl2], where M+2 = (Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg).
This study discussed the effects of doping with silver (Ag) on the optical and structural properties of
CdO nanoparticles at different concentrations 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 wt% prepared by the precipitation method. The
materials were annealed at 550˚C for 1 h. The structural, topographical, and optical properties were
diagnosed by X-ray diffraction analysis, atomic force instrument, and visible and ultraviolet spectrometers.
The results show that the average diameter of the grains depends on the percentage of added silver to the
material, as the diameter decreased from 88.8 to 59.7 nm, and it was found that the roughness increased from
5.56 to 26.5. When studying the optical properties, it was noted that th
The spectrum of clinical efficacy of Methotrexate (MTX) is broad in that MTX is used in the treatment of certain cancers, severe psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis.Various mechanisms by which cancer cells grown in tissue culture become resistant to anticancer drugs. The use of multiple drugs with different mechanisms of entry into cells and different cellular targets allows for effective chemotherapy and high cure rates. In an efforts to develop effective strategies that increase the therapeutic potential of anticancer drugs with less systemic toxicity ,are being directed towards the investigation of dietary supplements and other phytotherapeutic agents for their synergistic efficacy in combination with anticancer drugs.
