Once fungal infection was suspected clinically, swabs were harvested for the culture of yeast. Leuconostoc bacteria was isolated from local pickled cabbage (Brassica oleracea capitata) and identified as Leuconostoc mesenteroides by morphology,biochemical and physiological.
