The impact of the activities of the national poverty reduction strategy On achieving the sustainable development goals An applied research in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs

The objective of the research is to shed light on the nature of the impact of the activities of the national strategy for poverty alleviation in achieving the goals of sustainable development, and the research problem was represented by Is there an effect of the activities of the national strategy for poverty reduction in achieving the goals of sustainable development? and represents the field of research in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs For the years (2012-2016) and the results of the sustainable development goals indicators for the years (2012-2016), the ready-made statistical program (SPSS ver.10) was used to calculate the percentages, multiple linear regression equation, the F test and the R2 coefficient, and the research reached a set of conclusions Of the most prominent A There is an effect of the Ministry's research activities in the field of poverty alleviation in achieving the goals of sustainable development, which reached (60%), but that strategy was not supported due to the poor level of implementation, and the most prominent findings of the research from the recommendations is focusing on achieving the next strategies for its goals, to support The goals of sustainable development and advancing the reality of sustainable development in Iraq.

The Role of White Blood Cells in Acute Coronary Syndrome

Background:
Inflammation has been shown to play a role in atherosclerosis and acute coronary syndromes. An elevated total WBC count has been associated with increased cardiovascular
risk, but which leukocyte subtypes carry this risk. is uncertain. This study was designed to determine the effect of WBC count and other inflammatory markers on severity and
outcome of patients with UA/NSTEMI.
Patients and Methods:
Seventy (70) patients with UA / NSTEMI admitted to CCU at the Iraqi Center for Heart Diseases were subjected to thorough history and physical examination and WBC indices to
find their relation to clinical severity and outcome for both in-hospital and/month after discharge. The results were comp

Evaluation of Some Immunological Markers in the Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory polyarthritic disease associated with remissions and exacerbations and characteristic genetic, clinical, pathological, and immunological features. The present study was designed to evaluate some immunological parameters of some Iraqi patients with RA. The study was carried out on 75 Iraqi RA patients who were referred to the consultantand which divided into 59 female and 16 male, treated and non-treated. The diagnosis of those patients has been performed under supervision of a specialist physician in rheumatology. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique has been applied for the detection of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies (anti-CCP) and (Interleukin-1α (IL-1α)

The first recording of leaf blight disease Defla in Iraq

The results showed the spread of disease blight leaves caused by injury fungus Alternaria in different areas of cultivation in the city of Baghdad where he was recording the highest rate and the severity of the disease of 100% and 80%, respectively, in the Abu Ghraib area and the least of 20% and 12% respectively in the Amiriya district results showed test pathogenicity of the fungus pathogen emergence of symptoms of the disease superficial discoloration Authority of black paper when wound areas and yellowing of leaves about race as centrist and leaky latest country clear ????? on Central race after 48 hours ....

The radiological effects of dust storms in Baghdad- Ramadi area

Twelve storm dust samples were collected from three cities in Iraq. The samples were collected in the same time during big storms which hit Iraq in summer, 2012 and 2013.  The deposited dust on 4 by 4 nylon sheet on surfaces of selected buildings in cities of Baghdad, Fallujah and Al-Ramadi were collected. Each sample was put in sealed Marinilli beaker and kept for 4 weeks to reach the equilibrium state between radium and its short half-life daughters. Gamma spectrometry system based on HPGe was used for analysis of natural and artificial radionuclides in the dust. The activities of natural radionuclides were found to be ranged between 13-19 Bq/kg, 9-14 Bq/kg and 200-240 Bq/kg for Ra-226, Th-232 and K-40 respectively, while Cs-137 w

The Temperature Dependence of Photoconductivity in a-Ge20Se80 Thin Films

The photoconductivity and its dependence on light intensity have been investigated in a-Ge20Se80 thin films as a function of temperature between (293–323)K. The result showed that the photoconductivity and photosensitivity increase with increase of annealing temperature. This behavior is interpreted in terms of the dispersive diffusion –controlled recombination of localized electrons and holes.

SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF METOCLOPRAMIDE IN PHARMACEUTICAL FORMS

A UV-Vis spectrophotometry method was developed for the determination of metoclopramide hydrochloride in pure and several pharmaceutical preparations, such as Permosan tablets, Meclodin syrups, and Plasil ampoules. The method is based on the diazotization reaction of metoclopramide hydrochloride with sodium nitrate and hydrochloric acid to yield the diazonium salt, which is then reacted with 3,5-dimethyl phenol in the presence of sodium hydroxide to form a yellow azo dye. Calibration curves were linear in the range from 0.3 to 6.5 µg/mL, with a correlation coefficient of 0.9993. The limits of detection and quantification were determined and found to be 0.18 and 0.61 µg/mL, respectively. Accuracy and precision were also determined b

Exploring the application of AlN graphyne in calcium ion batteries

Destiny functional theory (DFT) calculations are undertaken in order to scrutinize the electrochemical and calcium (Ca) storage characteristics of a graphyne-like aluminum nitride monolayer (G-AlNyen) as an electrode material for Ca-ion batteries (CIBs). The results show that the change in internal energy as well as the cell voltage values for the CIB with the G-AlNyen anode are comparable to others with two-dimensional 2D nano-materials. It is shown that Ca is adsorbed primarily onto the center of a hexagonal and triangular ring of G-AlNyen with absorption energies of −2.06 and −0.42 eV. After increasing the concentration of Ca atoms on G-AlNyen, the adsorption energy as well as the cell voltage decreases. Lower values of 0.15–0.32 e

Cities' urban resilience in the face of urban sprawl challenges

Motives: The research deals with the issue of urban sprawl on agricultural lands. It is an urban problem caused by rapid urbanization and poor planning. It is considered one problem that threatens cities with environmental and health disasters. It also threatens agricultural life and the green belt surrounding cities. Changes in urban sprawl on agricultural land are associated with complex processes that lead to multiple social, economic, political, and environmental risks and thus pose a threat and an obstacle to the sustainability of cities. Aim: The research aims to study and evaluate the reality of the city of Baghdad and the extent of its ability and flexibility to withstand the disaster of urban sprawl on agricultural lands. T
