Azo derivative ligand[H3L] have been synthesized by the reaction of diazonium salt of p-amino benzoic acid with orcinol in(1:1)mole ratio. The bidente ligand was reacted with the metal ions MnII,FeIIandCrIIIin(2:1)mole ratio via reflux in ethanol using Et3N as a base to give complexes of the general formula: [ M(H2L)2(H2O)x]Cly The synthesized compounds were characterized by spectroscopic methods[ I.R , UV-Vis, A.A and H1 NMR]along with melting point, chloride content and conductivity measurements. The complexes were screend for their in vitro antibacterial activity against one strain of staphylococcus as Gram(+) positive and one strain of pseudomonas as Gram(-) Negative, using the agar diffusion technique.

The present work aims to investigate approaches, measures and detection of indoor radon level in buildings of the department of physics in college of science of Baghdad University. CR-39 solid state nuclear track detectors were used to measure the radon concentrations inside the rooms, including five laboratories and five workplace rooms in ground and first storey of the department. The average radon concentration at first storey was found to be 43.1±13.2 Bq/m3 and 40.1±13.4 Bq/m3 at the ground storey. This study was conducted on five kinds of local soybean seeds (Ibaa, Hawija, Taqa.2, Lee74 and Hassan). The chemical analysis results showed that Hawija soybean has the highest percent of protein which was 38-08%, The amino acid percent was also higher than the other kinds(lysine, Thereonine and Tryptopham), and being 389,250,81 mg/gm nitrogen respectively Both amino acids were important for child nutrition. Hawija was selected, being the best for proteins and basic amino acids, and was utilized in preparation of the adjunct baby food formula.
