Secnidazole was linked with ciprofloxacin as mutual prodrugs to get antibiotics with broader spectrum of activity, improved physicochemical properties and given by single dose to improve patient’s compliance. Furthermore, they provide structural modifications to overcome bacterial adaptation. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed using FT-IR, mass spectrometry, elemental microanalysis (CHNO) and some physiochemical properties. The goal of the study was to evaluate the wound healing properties of sterols in n-hexane and phenols in ethyl acetate extract fractions of the Iraqi Origanum majorana L aerial parts by contrasting their wound healing abilities with those of commercially available MEBO ointment in a rat excised wound repair model. Mixed ligand complexes of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) with metformin(MTF) as primary ligand and cysteine(Cys) as secondary ligand have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, atomic absorption, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility measurements, FTIR,UV-Vis ,1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectral studies. The elemental analysis, atomic absorption data reveal the formation of [1:1:1] [M:MTF:Cys] complexes.The electronic spectra and magnetic moment measurements reveal the presence of complexes in an octahedral geometry and the molar conductivity studies of the complexes indicate their non-electrolytic nature.
