The present study is the first taxonomic study on scorpions in Iraq. The specimens were collected from regions in the middle and south of Iraq, three families, seven genera and eight  species were recorded for the first time in Iraq and one new species of the world.

               Documentary credits are considered successful means to reduce imports, especially unnecessary imports that lead to the outflow of foreign currency from the country. However, due to the backwardness of the banking methods, the reintroduction of documentary credits after 2003 did not effectively contribute to reducing import rates. A sensitive spectrofluorimetric method for the determination of glibenclamide in its tablet formulations has been proposed. The method is based on the dissolving of glibenclamide in absolute ethanol and measuring the native fluorescence at 354 nm after excitation at 302 nm. Beers law is obeyed in the concentration of 1.4 to 10 µg.ml-1 of glibenclamide with a limit of detection (LD) of 0.067 µg.ml-1 and a standard deviation of 0.614. The range percent recoveries (N=3) is 94 - 103.

The present study was conducted using 16 adult male Swiss albino mice (weighing 40-50g). They were equally divided into four experimental groups. The first group was only given tap water as control during experimentation period (40 days). Group II, group III and group IV of mice were daily given a subcutaneous injection of cobalt as cobalt chloride (CoCl2) at a dose of 20mg, 40mg, and 60mg /Kg body weight respectively. Six main microfacies are identified which are Lime Mudstone, Bioclastic Wackeston, Bioclastic Packstone-Wackestone, Bioclastic Wackestone- Mudestone, Pelagic Mudstone–Wackestone, Bioclastic Packstone -Grainston Microfacies in addition to their associated depositional environment. The diagenesis process have affected the Mishrif rocks and played a role in deteriorating reservoir porosity in well Ga-2 and enhancing it in well Ga1,3.These processes include: cementation, micritization, recrystallization,dissolution,compaction pressure solution and dolomitization.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory polyarthritic disease associated with remissions and exacerbations and characteristic genetic, clinical, pathological, and immunological features. The present study was designed to evaluate some immunological parameters of some Iraqi patients with RA. The study was carried out on 75 Iraqi RA patients who were referred to the consultantand which divided into 59 female and 16 male, treated and non-treated. The diagnosis of those patients has been performed under supervision of a specialist physician in rheumatology. Destiny functional theory (DFT) calculations are undertaken in order to scrutinize the electrochemical and calcium (Ca) storage characteristics of a graphyne-like aluminum nitride monolayer (G-AlNyen) as an electrode material for Ca-ion batteries (CIBs). The results show that the change in internal energy as well as the cell voltage values for the CIB with the G-AlNyen anode are comparable to others with two-dimensional 2D nano-materials. It is shown that Ca is adsorbed primarily onto the center of a hexagonal and triangular ring of G-AlNyen with absorption energies of −2.06 and −0.42 eV.
