The study seeks to explore the mental-math level among intermediate-school students. To this end, the researcher raised a question. What the level of mental math among students in the intermediate stage? Total of (576) male and female students were chosen from different schools at Al-karkh side \ general directorate of Baghdad education. So as to answer research question and hypothesis, a questionnaire of (30) items designed by the authors was administered to the study sample. T-test was used to analyze the collected data at the level of significance (0.05). Expectancy means (15) showed significant difference comparing to the achieved mean (10, 10) on mental-math test. The study concluded with students has a low level of mental math. The researcher suggested considering the global cognitive development in designing math textbooks curriculum, the need to include contents that enhance students’ mental math. Besides, reorganization of math textbooks in a way that allows mental math to be used in learning and teaching math.

Samples of gasoline engine oil (SAE 5W20) that had been exposed to various oxidation times were inspected with a UV-Visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometer to select the best wavelengths and wavelength ranges for distinguishing oxidation times. Engine oil samples were subjected to different thermal oxidation periods of 0, 24, 48, 72, 96, 120, and 144 hours, resulting in a range of total base number (TBN) levels. The present study deals with the optimum design of self supporting steel communication towers. A special technique is used to represent the tower as an equivalent hollow tapered beam with variable cross section. Then this method is employed to find the best layout of the tower among prespecified configurations. The formulation of the problem is applied to four types of tower layout
with K and X brace, with equal and unequal panels. The objective function is the total weight of the tower. for sensing applications. This work presents the fabrication and
characterization of a relative humidity sensor based on Mach-
Zehnder Interferometer (MZI), which operates in reflection mode.
The humidity sensor operation based on the adsorption and
desorption of water vapour at the silica-air interface within the PCF.
The fabrication of this sensor is simple, it only includes splicing and
cleaving the PCF with SMF.PCF (LMA-10) with a certain length
