The study seeks to explore the mental-math level among intermediate-school students. To this end, the researcher raised a question. What the level of mental math among students in the intermediate stage? Total of (576) male and female students were chosen from different schools at Al-karkh side \ general directorate of Baghdad education. So as to answer research question and hypothesis, a questionnaire of (30) items designed by the authors was administered to the study sample. T-test was used to analyze the collected data at the level of significance (0.05). Expectancy means (15) showed significant difference comparing to the achieved mean (10, 10) on mental-math test. The study concluded with students has a low level of mental math. The researcher suggested considering the global cognitive development in designing math textbooks curriculum, the need to include contents that enhance students’ mental math. Besides, reorganization of math textbooks in a way that allows mental math to be used in learning and teaching math.
In this work 5-methylene-yl - (2-methy –oxazole-4-one) (1H) imidazole (1) were synthesized from the reaction of L-Histidine with acetic anhydride and which converted to the of 5-methylene-yl-(2-methyl 3-amino imidazole-4-one)-1H-imidazole (2) by reaction with hydrazine hydrate. Schiff bases (3-6) were synthesized from the reaction of compound (2) with different aromatic aldehyde. Reaction of compounds (3-6) with chloroacetyl chloride gives azetidinone one derivatives (7-10). These compounds were characterized by FT-IR and some of them with 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy.
This review highlighted the biochemical hypolipidemic action of some herbs and medical plants and could submit a good survery regarding intended plants and herbs as well promote and indicate the biochemical functions and importance of natural plants in medicince as a biochemical alternatives with no reverse or side effects. The present study have highlighted the biochemical hypolipidemic action of some herbs and medical plants: Daudelion Taraxacum officinale, Basil Ocimum sanctum L., dill Anethum graveolens , Celery Apium gravedense. , Fenugreek Trigonella Foenum-graccum , Grapes Vitis vinifera , olive tree Olea europea L., Green tea Comellia sinenis , Blue berry Vaccinium angnstifolium juice and Clove Eugenia caryophyllus.
