Self-Assertion is the individual ability to express any emotion well, except the anxiety. The decrease of the individuals asserting behavior makes them face many difficulties that prevent their social adjustment. Moreover it reflexes many negative behavioral and physical cases. The individual, who fails to express his or her negative feelings in required situations, feels with dissatisfaction, loneliness, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, conflict, and psychological disorder.
Accordingly, the importance of this study is represented in studying the self-assertion and studying the university students who reflect the strength of society.

This research aims at calculating the optimum cutting condition for various types of machining methods, assisted by computers, (the computer program in this research is designed to solve linear programs; the program is written in v. basic language). This study aims to recognize the most common thinking styles and level of the need for cognitive university students , the relation between thinking styles and the need for cognitive, and there are differences according to gender .The sample consists of (250) males and females university students for the academic year (2013-2014), and the researcher uses two scales;" thinking styles scale (Harison &Bramson, 1986), and the need for cognitive scale" (Cacioppo, Petty & Kao , 1996).

The current research aims at identifying the level of violence against women and relationship with psychological pain according to social status . To achieve the aims of the study a sample has been chosen to be (200) employers distributed to five colleges at Baghdad university. The violence scale which consists of (23) items in its final from , and the psychological pain scale which consists of (30) items in its final form and extracted validity and reliability of the scale the findings of the study include the following :-

• The employers of Baghdad university don’t have any violence.
• The employers of Baghdad university don’t have any psychological pain .
