Current search targeted to:
1 - Measurement of double-thinking among university students.
2 - Identify the significant differences in the degrees of double-thinking members of the sample according to the variables of sex (male - female), specialty (I know - a human).
To achieve the objectives of the research chose researcher samples from the community of the first search for statistical analysis, has reached 400 students, and the second sample of the application of the final, has reached (480) students were selected randomly with simple check of equal value, and the researcher building a search tool double think, After the completion of the scale-building measures thinking double (34) paragraph, the researcher apply the measure to final application of sample size (480) students.
After statistical treatments of using the bag SPSS statistical research found the following results: -
1 - that college students have a double-thinking.
2 - that there is a difference in the level of double think depending on the sex variable in favor of females.
3 - There is no difference in the level of thinking dual variable depending on the specialty.
Accordingly, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals, including:
1 - urged the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Department of the supervision and evaluation of activating the role of psychological counseling centers in all universities under the supervision of specialized cadres.
2 - urged academic institutions holding seminars and lectures through a strategy of preventive counseling, for the development of some unwanted behaviors, including double think.
3 - urged academic institutions attention to the activities and programs of social, cultural and sports in order to deepen the spirit of cooperation, tolerance and brotherhood among university students.
Sewage sludge samples were collected from Al-rasafa and Al-karkh refinement stations which represent the main stations of Baghdad city. Samples were collected from all treatment stages: before, after, and during refinement processes. The High Purity Germanium Coaxial Detector system with energy resolution 1.8 keV for energy line 1333 keV of Co – 60 radioactive sources was used to measure radioactivity from both natural and artificial sources. GENIE – 2000 analysis the results statistically and qualitatively. Estimations of specific activity concentrations in eight commercial porcelain tiles made in different countries were performed by the use of HPGe detector. We have found that the highest specific activity concentrations for 238U, 40K were equal to (21.120 Bq/kg) and (283.862 Bq/kg) respectively, Iranian origin, while the highest specific activity concentration for 232Th was found to be equal to (29.292 Bq/kg), Iraqi origin; all of which were less than their corresponding recommended values given by (UNSCEAR, 2000). Measurement of radon concentration level was carried out in 40 houses in Al – Najaf city during summer season of 2012. Long term measurement of indoor of old building radon concentrations have been taken, using a previously calibrated passive diffusion dosimeters containing CR – 39 solid state nuclear track detectors which are very sensitive for alpha particles. The measurement of the indoor radon concentration obtained in summer in these regions ranged from 11.654±4.216 Bq.m-3 to 53.610±8.777 Bq.m-3. The results were within universally permitted levels. |

The appliance of milligauss meter was designed by Qusay Ismail to measure the induce of electromagnetic field for home appliance which are put at a distance from milligauss meter (15-30-60)cm .The results showed some appliance has recorded higher than normal acceptable level of electromagnetic radiation emissions and produced radiation of (350650)milligauss as for the rest of appliances has recorded values which are ranged between (1200)milligauss ,laptop was recorde radiation generally lower than from desktop and computer moniter (CRT).The radiation ,intensity decrease with increasing distance.
Sediment samples were collected from main water processing and supply plants in Baghdad, and tested for radioactivity from both natural and artificial sources. These stations are: East Dijla (Tigris), Al-Kadisia, Al-Karama, Al-Rasheed, Al-Sader, Al-Wathba, and Al-Wihda supply stations. Qualitative measurements were made, and the results showed that most sediments exhibited natural radioactive level and sometimes less than the international regular standards. Specially, K-40 and Ra-226 results were much less than the standards for radioactive concentrations.
