Heavy metal (HM) pollution has long been a significant source of environmental deterioration and a problem for the safety of food. Iraqis prefer rice over any other food, and since heavy metals have a direct impact on health, their traces in rice have drawn particular attention. Before cooking rice, it is usual in Iraq to wash and soak it. Some 55 varieties of imported and local rice were sampled from Erbil city markets in 2022 with the aim of determining the concentration of As, Cd, Cr, Ni and Pb before and after soaking. The current research aims to identify the time-management skills based on the post-test of the experimental group as well as to examine the effect of a training program on developing the skills of managing time among the study sample. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher designed a scale of time management skill included (30) paragraphs. The research reached that the training program is significantly effective in managing and organizing time. There are statistically significant differences in pre-posttest between the experimental and control groups.

Groundwater is very important for different uses in the present study area which represents Jisr Diyala, located in southeastern Baghdad and covered with quaternary deposits which include the shallow aquifer in the area. Groundwater and surface water were investigated to determine their suitable uses. The main ion concentrations of the wet period seemed to be lower than those in the dry period. According to TDS values, the water is classified as brackish to salty with a high degree of hardness. Most of water samples were of NaCl type due to pollution with sewage water and rock-water interaction. The results show that the water of the study area is suitable for livestock and irrigation purposes only.
