The foreguts of a total of 515 fish of Chondrostoma regium (Heckel, 1843) (locally: Bala’aot Malloky) were studied. These fish were collected from Tigris River at Salah Al-Deen Province (between Al-Hagag & Yathrib) for 20 months between March and October of the next year. Detritus, plant in origin materials (19.6%, 23.0% & 24.9%); green and blue green algae, mostly Cladophora, Cosmarium and Merismpedia sp. (17.1%, 12.9% & 12.2%) and diatoms, mostly Diatoma, Chanathes, Amphora and Cyulbella sp. Three-dimensional seismic reflection study was conducted for the Eastern
Baghdad oil field which is located in the middle part of Iraq within Al-Madaaen
province that belong to Baghdad governarate, South of Diyala River , this field
includes two southern parts (S1 and S2), the study area was about 781.905 km 2 for
the upper Cretaceous age, synthetic seismogram was generated from data of EB-5
and EB-1 wells. Saadi reflector was picked and identified to determine the Hartha
Formation. The seismic sections and time slice maps confirmed that the upper
Cretaceous age was affected by faults and the indicators of faults ended within
Hartha Formation and continue to the deeper formations with increasing intensity.

An ultrasonic treatment was applied to the vacuum gas oil at intervals of 5 to 30 minutes, at 70°C.  In this work, the improvement of the important properties of Iraqi vacuum gas oil, such as carbon residue, was studied with several parameter conditions that affect vacuum efficiency, such as sonication time (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30) min, power amplitude (10–50%). After ultrasonic treatment, the carbon residue of vacuum gas oil was evaluated using a Conradson carbon residue meter (ASTM D189).
