This research aims to investigate the impact of a training program for teachers of chemistry according to the strategies for both sides of the brain together in academic achievement for their students, the sample consisted of a 12 teachers of both genders who are teaching chemistry for the students of the fifth scientific secondary schools of the General Directorate for the Education in Garmiyan/Sulaymaniyah governorate, Iraqi Kurdistan region, where five teachers of them randomly selected to involve the training program, and seven teachers did not participate in the proposed training program, where a sample of students was selected for each group of teachers about 147 male and female students for teachers of the experimental group and 198 male and female students for teachers of the control group. After the preparation of the training program, its prepared research instrument was a learning test of the multiple choice in chemistry for the reliability of (0. 91) depending on the equation of Kuder-Richardson-20, the results showed the impact of the training program on the academic achievement between the two groups of students in the research sample for the group of the trained teachers in training program with a size of significant impact in compare with the students of non training teachers.
The research aims to study the effect of adding (Li2O) to an alkaline glaze containing (K2O, Na2O). Although all the alkaline oxides have common properties, each oxide has something that distinguishes it. The molecular weight of (Li2O) is two times less than that of (Na2O) and three times that of (K2O). Therefore, it is added in small proportions. In this work, results of a mathematical analysis of the role of workpiece preheating in laser keyhole welding were presented. This analysis considered the steady-state welding as well as certain range of boundary conditions over which preheating effect would be indicated. This work is an attempt to interpret the role of preheating to increase welding depth and perform keyhole welding with high quality using physical and thermal properties of steel alloys.
Akaike’s Information Criterion (AIC) is a popular method for estimation the number of sources impinging on an array of sensors, which is a problem of great interest in several applications. The performance of AIC degrades under low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). This paper is concerned with the development and application of quadrature mirror filters (QMF) for improving the performance of AIC. A new system is proposed to estimate the number of sources by applying AIC to the outputs of filter bank consisting quadrature mirror filters (QMF). The proposed system can estimate the number of sources under low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
