In the present study, cytogenetic and molecular techniques were conducted to detect the chromosomal aneuploidy and the involvement of N and H genes in squamous larynx carcinoma cell line Hep-2.Our results showed that numerical and structural abnormalities were involved in larynx cancer Hep-2.The total number of chromosomes ranging from tripolyploidy in passage187to more than that in passage207.The more frequent chromosomes involved in numerical aberrations were chromosomes1,7,16,17 and 18. The Neutron Fermi Age, t, and the neutron slowing down density,   q (r, t) , have been measured for some materials such as Graphite and Iron by using gamma spectrometry system UCS-30 with NaI (Tl) detector. This technique was applied for Graphite and Iron materials by using Indium foils covered by Cadmium and the measurements done at the Indium resonance of 1.46 eV. These materials are exposed to a plane ²⁴¹Am/Be neutron source with recent activity 38 mCi. The measurements of the Fermi Age were found to be t = 297 ± 21 cm² for Graphite, t = 400 ± 28 cm² for Iron. The object of this work is to investigate the effect of the addition of methanol on the shelf life and color characteristics of novolak resin. Different percentages were added and two mechanisms were suggested for the addition. High ortho structure (1, 2-3) novolak resin was prepared and used in the above investigation. Experimental determination using FT-IR and UV-spectroscopy showed that on the addition of 30% of methanol and according to the second mechanism of addition novolak shelf life increased to 12 months without obvious decomposition and color change.
