The current study deal with an analysis of the water quality of Dalmaj marsh as one of the closed aquatic environments in the middle parts of Iraq located between latitudes 32ᵒ 05′ to 32ᵒ 23′N and longitudes 45ᵒ 10′ to 45ᵒ 38′ E. The first aim of the present study was performed to assay the activity of arginase in sera of women with uterine fibroid.. This study consisted of(50) women with uterine fibroid as patient's group and (30) healthy women as control group. The age ranged between (30-55) years for the two groups. The results showed that highly significant increase (P< 0.0001) in the arginase activity in sera of women with uterine fibroid (7.99± 0.23) I.U/L is found when compared with healthy group (0.52±0.02) I.U/L. Anatomically, the starling liver bird was dark red -brown in colour and located in the cranial third of the abdominal cavity and consisted of undivided lobes (left and right). Quantum dots (QDs) of cadmium sulfide (CdS) was prepared by chemical
reaction method with different potential of hydrogen (pH) values. The
morphological and optical measurements of cadmium sulfide QDs were considered
by atomic force microscopy (AFM), ultraviolet-visible (UV-VIS.) and
photoluminescence (PL) spectrometer respectively. The energy gap (Eg) was
calculated from photoluminescence spectra were found to be about 2.7, 2.6 and 2.5
eV at pH values 8, 10 and 12 respectively for CdS QDs. The decreasing of energy
gaps is rises from the effect the pH solution increases, which in turn leads to the
shifted of the PL spectrum toward red shifted, which creates the energy bands at
surface states are shallow bands.
