Achieving Goals for Postgraduate Students

The current research aims to identify the achievement of goals and the significance of the differences in achieving goals according to the variable of gender (male-female), specialization (scientific-human), and the stage (Master-PhD) for postgraduate students. To achieve the goals of the current research, the researcher developed a scale of achieving goals that was built according to the theory of (Lock & Latham 1990), which was applied to a sample of (257) male and female students who were selected randomly with a proportional distribution for the academic year (2021-2022). The scale of achieving goals consists of (30) items. The current research found that the research sample of postgraduate students has achieved their goals in general, but according to the gender variable (male-female) and the stage (Master-PhD), there are no differences between them. As for the specialization, it was found that there are differences between them in favor of students of scientific specialization. ‏In light of these results, the researcher presented some recommendations and suggestions, as shown in the fourth chapter.

The vigilant personality of University teachers

This research aims to identify the vigilant personality of University teachers in term of gender. To this end, the researcher used the scale of Al-tememe (2017) for the vigilant personality, the scale was administered to the sample of the study which was (100) male and female teachers. The results have shown that university teachers generally have a vigilant personality, as well as the result showed a difference between male and female teachers on the level of vigilant personality in favor of males. The Vocational Self of Educational Counselors

The current research aims to identify the Vocational Self of the educational counselors as well as to identify the significant difference in the professional self according to the gender variable (male-female). The researcher adopted the scale of al-hasani (2015), which consisted of (34) items. It was applied to a sample of (300) school counselors (male-female) who were randomly selected from the six directorates in the Baghdad governorate for the academic year 2020/2021. The results showed that the research sample of educational counselors has a vocational self-concept. There are no statistically significant differences in the vocational self-concept between males and females among the educational counselors.
