The results revealed that there is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the two research groups in favor of the experimental group in the achievement test. There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the two research groups in favor of the experimental group in the test of imaginative thinking skills. The results also indicated that there is a positive effect of teaching the active reading strategy in the achievement and imaginative thinking skills. In light of this, the researchers made a number of recommendations and suggestions.
