...Show More Authors

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the general level of teachers’ curriculum expectations in (geography subject as a model), as well as the significance of the difference in the level of teachers’ curriculum expectations in light of the gender variables (male, female), the years of service (10 years or less - more than 10 years), the level of attitudes of fourth-grade literary students towards geography, the level of congruence between teachers’ curriculum expectations and the attitudes of fourth-grade literary students towards geography in light of the variables, the general level of congruence and the level of congruence between teachers’ curriculum expectations and the attitudes of students in the fourth literary class towards geography, the level of congruence between teachers’ curriculum expectations and the attitudes of their students in the class fourth literary towards geography, the level of congruence between the expectations of male and female teachers (with 10 years of service 10 and less), the methodology and the attitudes of female students in the fourth literary grade towards geography, the level of congruence between the expectations of male and female teachers (with more than 10 years of service), and the methodology and attitudes of female and male students in the fourth literary grade towards the subject of geography. thus, The methodological expectations tool was applied to a random sample of teachers of geography with a total of (73) participants, while the tool for students’ attitudes towards geography was applied to a random sample of fourth-grade literary middle or secondary students, totaling (872) male and female students. The results showed that there is a positive significance in the curriculum expectations of the teachers of geography for the fourth preparatory literary class, As well as there is a significance difference according to the gender variable in the level of curriculum expectations of teachers in favor of males, there is significance difference according to the variable of years of service in the level of curriculum expectations of teachers in favor of those with service more than 10 years, there is a positive significance in the attitudes of the fourth literary students towards the geography subject, there is a relative match at the level (positive extrusive graph) between the two variables (Teachers’ curriculum expectations) and (the fourth grade literary students’ attitudes towards geography), there is a relative (general) match between the two variables and with a significant difference in favor of (curriculum teachers) among the study sample, there is a relative match between the two variables with a significant difference in favor of female teachers among the female students, there is a relative match between the two variables and a significant difference in favor of the teachers over the students, there is a causal match between the two variables and a significant difference in favor of teachers with service (10 years and less) among the study sample, and there is a relative match between the two variables and a significant difference in favor of teachers with service (more than 10 years) among the study sample, according to these results appropriate relevant recommendations and suggestions were presented.

Background: Obesity and diabetes mellitus are the common health problems, and obesity is common cause of the insulin resistance. Aim of studv: Aim of the study is to find any correlation between obesity (insulin resistance) and type I diabetes in children. Patients and methods: This study included (40) children with type I diabetes, in addition to (40) children as control. The age of all studied groups ranged from (8-18) years. This study was attemted from Ibn AlBalady Hospital during from 20 August to 9 Novembar,2008. The subjects wrer divided into (4) groups according to their BMI:- * Obese children,diabetes,n=2O,BMI>30. * Non obese children, diabetes, n=20,BMI<25. Objectives: In order to highlight the TSH and thyroid hormones levels in preeclamptic and healthy pregnant
women.
Methodology: Ninety patients with preeclampsia were divided into two groups according to the severity of
disease; those with mild disease (37 patients) and those with a severe form (53 patients). A separate group of 30
normal women were included as a normal control group. Venus blood samples were collected from all groups
and the serum was obtained for hormone analysis by ELISA test. Results are expressed using SPSS for window
version 11.0.
Results: Mean serum TSH levels were significantly increased in both of mild and severe preeclampsia compared
with normal pregnancy, and T3 serum level showed a sign

This study sheds light on the syndromes (grammatical pairs) in the section of sympathy, especially the affection and sympathy according to the normative rule governed by the synthetic correlation of the elements of the Arabic sentence and their structural composition, which leads to a verbal presumption governing their association with each other (called).
One of the syndromes of the grammarians is that which is between the emotion and his income, so they follow their functional and structural conditions, and they have also noticed a phenomenon that leads to their incompatibility and prevents their direct contact through the occurrence of a separation between them resulting in their separation, which is called separation. Lecture method is still need to a part of PBL in order to explain the difficult and abstract concepts in all fields of physics particularly thermodynamics. Introducing and promoting PBL in the lecture method is wise step for innovation in teaching and learning. The objective of this study is to compare the effects of using three methods: problem-based learning (PBL), PBL with lecture method, and conventional teaching on undergraduate physics students’ understanding of thermodynamics. The actual sample size comprises of 122 students, who were selected randomly from the Physics Department, College of Education in Iraq in the academic year 2011-2012. In this study, the pre- and post-test were done and the instruments were administered to the

ABSTRUCT

In This Paper, some semi- parametric spatial models were estimated, these models are, the semi – parametric spatial error model (SPSEM), which suffer from the problem of spatial errors dependence, and the semi – parametric spatial auto regressive model (SPSAR). Where the method of maximum likelihood was used in estimating the parameter of spatial error          ( λ ) in the model (SPSEM), estimated  the parameter of spatial dependence ( ρ ) in the model ( SPSAR ), and using the non-parametric method in estimating the smoothing function m(x) for these two models, these non-parametric methods are; the local linear estimator (LLE) which require finding the smoo

Effect of Laser Shock Peening on the Fatigue Behavior and Mechanical Properties of Composite Materials
...Show More Authors

In this study, Laser Shock Peening (LSP) effect on the polymeric composite materials has been investigated experimentally. Polymeric composite materials are widely used because they are easy to fabricate and have many attractive features. Unsaturated polyester resin as a matrix was selected and Aluminum powder with micro particles as a reinforcement material was used with different volume fraction (2.5%, 5% and 7.5%). Hand lay-up process was used for preparation the composites. Fatigue test with constant amplitude with stress ratio (R =-1) was carried out before and after LSP process with two levels of energy (1Joule and 2Joule). The result showed an increase in the endurance strength of 25.448% at 7.5% volume fraction when peened is 1J
