...Show More Authors

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the general level of teachers’ curriculum expectations in (geography subject as a model), as well as the significance of the difference in the level of teachers’ curriculum expectations in light of the gender variables (male, female), the years of service (10 years or less - more than 10 years), the level of attitudes of fourth-grade literary students towards geography, the level of congruence between teachers’ curriculum expectations and the attitudes of fourth-grade literary students towards geography in light of the variables, the general level of congruence and the level of congruence between teachers’ curriculum expectations and the attitudes of students in the fourth literary class towards geography, the level of congruence between teachers’ curriculum expectations and the attitudes of their students in the class fourth literary towards geography, the level of congruence between the expectations of male and female teachers (with 10 years of service 10 and less), the methodology and the attitudes of female students in the fourth literary grade towards geography, the level of congruence between the expectations of male and female teachers (with more than 10 years of service), and the methodology and attitudes of female and male students in the fourth literary grade towards the subject of geography. thus, The methodological expectations tool was applied to a random sample of teachers of geography with a total of (73) participants, while the tool for students’ attitudes towards geography was applied to a random sample of fourth-grade literary middle or secondary students, totaling (872) male and female students. The results showed that there is a positive significance in the curriculum expectations of the teachers of geography for the fourth preparatory literary class, As well as there is a significance difference according to the gender variable in the level of curriculum expectations of teachers in favor of males, there is significance difference according to the variable of years of service in the level of curriculum expectations of teachers in favor of those with service more than 10 years, there is a positive significance in the attitudes of the fourth literary students towards the geography subject, there is a relative match at the level (positive extrusive graph) between the two variables (Teachers’ curriculum expectations) and (the fourth grade literary students’ attitudes towards geography), there is a relative (general) match between the two variables and with a significant difference in favor of (curriculum teachers) among the study sample, there is a relative match between the two variables with a significant difference in favor of female teachers among the female students, there is a relative match between the two variables and a significant difference in favor of the teachers over the students, there is a causal match between the two variables and a significant difference in favor of teachers with service (10 years and less) among the study sample, and there is a relative match between the two variables and a significant difference in favor of teachers with service (more than 10 years) among the study sample, according to these results appropriate relevant recommendations and suggestions were presented.

Characterization of the Geotechnical Properties of Expansive Soil Improved by Sludge Waste
...Show More Authors

Recently, a great rise in the population and fast manufacturing processes were noticed. These processes release significant magnitudes of waste. These wastes occupied a notable ground region, generating big issues for the earth and the environment. To enhance the geotechnical properties of fine-grained soil, a sequence of research projects in the lab were conducted to analyze the impacts of adding sludge waste (SW). The tests were done on both natural and mixed soil with SW at various proportions (2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10%) based on the dry mass of the soil used. The experiments conducted focused on consistency, compaction, and shear strength. With the addition of 10% of SW, the values of LL and PI decreased by 29.7% and 3

We examine 10 hypothetical patients suffering from some of the symptoms of COVID 19 (modified) using topological concepts on topological spaces created from equality and similarity interactions and our information system. This is determined by the degree of accuracy obtained by weighing the value of the lower and upper figures. In practice, this approach has become clearer.

Prediction of the Point Efficiency of Sieve Tray Using Artificial Neural Network
...Show More Authors

An application of neural network technique was introduced in modeling the point efficiency of sieve tray, based on a
data bank of around 33l data points collected from the open literature. Two models proposed, using back-propagation
algorithm, the first model network consists: volumetric liquid flow rate (QL), F foctor for gas (FS), liquid density (pL),
gas density (pg), liquid viscosity (pL), gas viscosity (pg), hole diameter (dH), weir height (hw), pressure (P) and surface
tension between liquid phase and gas phase (o). In the second network, there are six parameters as dimensionless
group: Flowfactor (F), Reynolds number for liquid (ReL), Reynolds number for gas through hole (Reg), ratio of weir
height to hole diqmeter

Motives: Baghdad is the capital city and an important political, administrative, social, cultural and economic centre of Iraq. Baghdad’s growth and development has been significantly influenced by efforts to accommodate various needs of its steadily growing population. Uncontrolled population and urban growth have exerted negative effects in numerous dimensions, including environmental sustainability because urban expansion occurred in green spaces within the city and the surrounding areas.Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the planning solutions in Baghdad’s green areas in the past and at present, and to identify the key changes in the city’s green areas, including changes in the ratio of green urban spaces to the tota

The Effect of metals as Additives on Thermal conductivity of Epoxy Resin
...Show More Authors

A hand lay-up method was used to prepare Epoxy/ metal composites. Epoxy resin (EP) was used as a matrix with metal particles (Al, Cu, and Fe) as fillers.
The preparation method includes preparing square panels of composites with different weight percentage of fillers (10, 20, 30, 40, and 50%). Standard specimens (88mm in diameter) for thermal conductivity tests were prepared to measure thermal conductivity kexp. The result of experimental thermal conductivity kexp, for EP/metal composites show that, kexp increase with increasing weight percentage, For EP/ Al and EP/Cu composites, and it have have maximum values of 0.33 and 0.35 W/m.K, respectively. While kexp for EP/ Fe composite show slight increase with maximum value of 0.186 W/m.K.

Experimental Investigation of the Behavior of Self-Form Segmental Concrete Masonry Arches
...Show More Authors

This research aims to introduce a new technique-off-site and self-form segmental concrete masonry arches fabrication, without the need of construction formwork or centering. The innovative construction method in the current study encompasses two construction materials forms the self-form masonry arches, wedge-shape plain concrete voussoirs, and carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites. The employment of CFRP fabrics was for two main reasons: bonding the voussoirs and forming the masonry arches. In addition, CFRP proved to be efficient for strengthening the extrados of the arch rings under service loadings. An experimental test was conducted on four sophisticated masonry arch specimens. The research parameters were the Keystone thic
