The Effectiveness of Cognitive-Behavioral Guidance Program in Reducing the Level of Addiction on Social Media in a Sample of High School Students in Karak Schools

Abstract

The current research aims to develop a guidance program suitable for high school students and apply it to them in order to ensure the reduction of addiction to the use of different means of communication. The researchers used the scale of addiction to the means of communication (SAS) to measure the level of addiction as well as to identify the impact of the proposed guidance program in reducing the degree of addiction to communication. It was applied to a sample of (20) female students divided equally into two groups: an experimental group of (10) female students and a control group of (10) female students from the secondary level in a school under the department of education in the education of the almazar in Karak / Jordan. The extension program was implemented for a month with two sessions a week. The results indicated there are statistically significant differences in reducing the level of addiction in favor of the experimental group compared to the control group at the level of indication, which confirms the effectiveness and the impact of the program in causing positive change appeared by reducing the number of behaviors and disorders of the students' sample, as well as the results revealed there is an escalation of the level of awareness and attention in the sample of research, which reflected on the rest of the behavior of other students through observation and self-reports. The importance of counseling and psychotherapeutic programs and services in girls’ schools at all stages in reducing the level of addiction for users of various means of communication on the Internet and in our societies to avoid harmful consequences.

The efficacy and tolerability of 10mg and 20mg/day isotretinoinin the treatment of acne vulgaris in Iraqi patients

Back ground: Oral isotretinoin is recommended
for sever nodulocystic acne in the doses 0.5-
2mg/kg/day which is usually associated with higher
incidence of adverse effects. To reduce the
incidence of side-effects and to make it more costeffective,
the lower dose regimen of isotretinoin has
been used.
Aim: To compare the efficacy and tolerability of
oral isotretinoin 10mg and 20mg/day in acne
vulgaris.
Methods: one hundred and twenty patients with
acne vulgaris were randomized into two treatment
regimens each consisting of 60 patients. The first
was treated with 10mg/day and the second group
with 20mg/day for 24 weeks. Fifty five patients
from the first group and 47 patients from the second

Efficacy of the LED Red Light Therapy in the Treatment of Temporomandibular Disorders: Double Blind Randomized Controlled Trial

Background. Temporomandibular dysfunction syndrome (TMD) is a common disease among dental patients. It occurs as a consequence of malfunction of the tempromandibular and/or surrounding facial muscles. LED red light therapy is not been well established, and it is important to find out the role of this technique in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders. Aim of the Study. To evaluate the efficacy of the LED red light in the treatment of the tempromandibular dysfunction syndrome. Material and Methods. Fifty students of the College of Dentistry/University of Baghdad with myofacial pain associated with Tempromandibular Disorder volunteered to participa

Study the effect of different temperatures in the growth and development of Been Beette Acanthoselides obtectus (Coleoptera: Bruchidae)

This research includes a study of the effect of four temperatures (25, 30, 35, 40m◦) with relative humidity 65% on some biological aspects of the Bean beetle Acanthoselides obtectus on the Bean seeds under laboratory conditions. The results showed that the effect of different temperatures is clear on biological of Bean beetle. Differed period necessary for the growth and development of each stage of the insect in different temperatures . The results of statically analysis showed a significant difference in the life cycle when all temperatures except the period between temperature 35 and 40m◦ , respectively. Where the average of those period, 60.75, 35.5, 20.34 and 19.27 days and also different temperatures significant effects is clea

The Role of Cone Beam Computed Tomography in Determination of the Greater Palatine Foramen Position Among Iraqi Population

Background: The use of the cone beam computed tomography for analysing the position of the greater palatine foramen in relation to various anatomical landmarks is crucial in dentistry. The aims of the current study, firstly is to determine the greater palatine foramen position in relation to various anatomical landmarks by using cone beam computed tomography and secondly is to make a comparison of the measurements according to side, gender, and age. Materials and methods: This prospective study included 60 Iraqi patients (28males and 32 females) who selected according to availability of Inclusion criteria, which include age range (21 - 60 years), with no dentofacial deformities or pathological lesion at the maxilla. All patients had inform

MORPHOMETRIC FEATURES OF THE BEETLE ACINOPUS (ACINOPUS) LAEVIGATUS MENETRIES, 1832 (COLEOPTERA, CARABIDAE) IN THE MOUNTAIN ECOSYSTEMS OF UZBEKISTAN

The morphometric parameters of Acinopus (Acinopus) laevigatus Ménétriés, 1832 (Coleoptera, Carabidae) were studied and their altitudinal variability was assessed. The length of head is the most variable, and the smallest value of the coefficient of variation is observed for the width of elytra. The length of body parts (head, pronotum, elytra) were more variable compared to their width. The correlation relationship between the morphometric parameters of different parts of the body was analyzed. A high correlation was found between the elytra length (EL) and the total body length (BL) (r=0.93), and the lowest correlation was found between the elytra width (EW) and the pronotum length (PL) (r=0.57). According to all measurement indicato

Microfacies analysis of the Late Maastrichtian- Danian Phosphatic Succession in the H3-Trebeel district, Western Desert of Iraq

The Late Maastrichtian–Danian phosphatic succession prevails as a deposit to the west of Rutbah region, Western Iraq. This is manifested through the lithostratigraphic sections of boreholes (K.H5\6 and K.H 5\8) drilled previously in the area. The succession is mainly composed of phosphate, shale, porcelanite, oyster and foraminiferal carbonate lithofacies belonging to Digma and Akashat formations. Three facies associations are distinguished during the study: the phosclast planktonic (FA1) that dominates the outer ramp, the phosclast foraminiferal (FA2) that dominates the mid ramp, and the quartz dolomitic phosclast (FA3) present in the inner ramp. These facies’ associations are differentiated into se

Evaluate the Effect of Relative Humidity in the Atmosphere of Baghdad City urban expansion Using Remote Sensing Data

The effects of land use/cover change are recognized as one of the challenges facing humans in the twenty-first century. In contrast to less developed regions, its characteristics are characterized by a variety of climatic conditions. The changes result in “Urban Heat Island”, in which the temperature in cities is higher than the temperature in the rest of the country. By monitoring the city of Baghdad for a short period, Baghdad's urbanization progressed quickly, which negatively affected the region’s climate through the decreasing of agricultural lands surrounding the area. Understanding the extent of effects on the environment is critical for long-term development. Climate change and environmental cleanup include making the right
