Abstract

The current research aims to identify the most prominent beliefs about coronavirus of Baghdad University students, as well as to identify the prominent beliefs toward coronavirus of male and female students. To achieve the research objectives, a questionnaire of (15) items was administered to a sample of (600) male and female students collected from ten different colleges at the university of Baghdad. Human beings are under the threat of the environment they are living in. With the course of time, they seriousness of this threat and its effect in changing their life . The most common threat that human beings might pass through is the trauma which is commonly bound with wars. The greater trauma that human beings might have is the threatening sudden facing or death facing. Consequently there would be disorder especially War disorder. This Phenomenon is clearly observed in Iraqi society as Iraq has been passing through continuous wars and disasters namely during and after the American Invasion. On of the psychological disorders that the human encounters is guilty conscience, this feeling is negative and affects on the individual and on those around him and harms the psychological health of the individual.

      since the university students slice is one of the important slices in the community which the country dependes on their abilities , their energies and their faculties in the construction and development, the university professors and specialists in the field of education and psychology who are around them should help them in achieving psychological balance and adjustment with themselves and with others, the following research objectives have been set : 

The research aimed to identifying :

1. Egocentrism of the university students .
2. Academic adaptation of the university student.
3. Differences in Egocentrism according to the both variable ( Gender and Specialization ) of the university student.
4. Differences in academic adaptation according to the both variable ( Gender and Specialization ) of the university student .
5. The Contribution of academic adaptation to Egocentrism of the university student .
