This study aimed to identify the perceived mental image of volunteering, and its relationship to volunteer motivation among a sample of Al-Quds Open University students, as well as to identify the differences in the perceived mental image of volunteering due to variables (gender, year of study, place of residence, college). The researcher has used relational descriptive approach. The researcher has used two questionnaires, the first was used to measure the perceptive mental image of volunteering, and the second to measure the motivation towards volunteering, and the study population may consist of all students of Al-Quds Open University Hebron Branch during the first semester of the academic year 2021/2020 and their number (3462)Male and female students. The study sample consisted of (246) male and female students who were chosen using the stratified sample method. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the perceptive mental image of volunteering due to the variables (gender, school year, place of residence, college) while it showed a positive relationship between the perceptive mental image of volunteerism and the motivation towards volunteer work. A new, simple, sensitive and fast developed method was used for the determination of methyldopa in pure and pharmaceutical formulations by using continuous flow injection analysis. This method is based on formation a burgundy color complex between methyldopa andammonium ceric (IV) nitrate in aqueous medium using long distance chasing photometer NAG-ADF-300-2. The linear range for calibration graph was 0.05-8.3 mmol/L for cell A and 0.1-8.5 mmol/L for cell B, and LOD 952.8000 ng /200 µL for cell A and 3.3348 µg /200 µL for cell B respectively with correlation coefficient (r) 0.9994 for cell A and 0.9991 for cell B, RSD % was lower than 1 % for n=8. Image compression is very important in reducing the costs of data storage transmission in relatively slow channels. Wavelet transform has received significant attention because their multiresolution decomposition that allows efficient image analysis. This paper attempts to give an understanding of the wavelet transform using two more popular examples for wavelet transform, Haar and Daubechies techniques, and make compression between their effects on the image compression.

Show MoreThe present work aims to study the effect of using an automatic thresholding technique to convert the features edges of the images to binary images in order to split the object from its background, where the features edges of the sampled images obtained from first-order edge detection operators (Roberts, Prewitt and Sobel) and second-order edge detection operators (Laplacian operators). The optimum automatic threshold are calculated using fast Otsu method. The study is applied on a personal image (Roben) and a satellite image to study the compatibility of this procedure with two different kinds of images. The obtained results are discussed.
