...Show More Authors

Emotions are part of the personality of the individual and affect many different aspects of the personality, and it is an important element of social and psychological adaptation, especially if it is within the limits of nature, and if the methods used to express them are appropriate and moderate.

Submission is one of the characteristics that express the way an individual relies upon in dealing with others and in dealing with matters of life. An individual who complies with instructions and orders and abides by them, and performs what is required of him without hesitation or delay. Adolescence is an important and accurate stage in the constructive development of an individual and in his psychological and social life.

The current research aims at measuring emotional submission in intermediate school students and exploring the effect of the counseling program in reducing the emotional submission of intermediate school students. Smyth has defined emotional submission as the individual's involvement in various forms of emotional behavior that is not adapted to the environment, leading to misunderstanding by others. The researcher has constructed the emotional submission scale according to the Beem theory, which consists of (18) items. However, the researcher has used the confrontation method in the counseling program to reduce emotional submission. The research has arrived at those female students in the intermediate school have an emotional submission. In light of the results, the researcher has put forward a number of recommendations and suggestions

Laboratory study on the effects of nutrient enrichment on a phytoplankton population in Sawa Lake, Iraq
...Show More Authors

Nutrient enrichment of Sawa lake water was made using different nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations during autumn and spring at three stations. Different concentrations of nitrogen, phosphorus and N: P ratios were used to test variations in phytoplankton population dynamics. Nitrogen at a concentration of 25 µmole.l-1 and N: P ratio of 10:1 gave highest phytoplankton cell number at all stations and seasons. A total of 64 algal taxa dominated by Bacillariophyceae followed by Cyanophyceae and Chlorophyceae were identified. The values of Shannon index of diversity were more than one in the studied stations.

Nitroso-R-salt as a sensitive spectrophotometric reagent for the determination of paracetamol in pharmaceutical preparations
...Show More Authors

Nitroso-R-salt is proposed as a sensitive spectrophotometric reagent for the determination of paracetamol in aqueous solution. The method is based on the reaction of paracetamol with iron(III) and subsequent reaction with nitroso-R-salt to yield a green colored complex with maximum absorption at 720 nm. Optimization of the experimental conditions was described. The calibration graph was linear in the concentration range of 0.1 – 2.0 ?g mL-1 paracetamol with a molar absorptivity of 6.9 × 104 L mol-1 cm-1. The method was successfully applied to the determination of paracetamol in pharmaceutical preparations without any interference from common excipients. The method has been statistically evaluated with British Pharmacopoeia method a

Nonparametric statistical study for the crime motives on a sample of inmates in Khartoum State prisons
...Show More Authors

The aim of the research was to investigate the use of non-parametric tests in the analysis of the questionnaire and how to choose the appropriate test for testing the hypothesis of the study of crime motives in Khartoum State. The data were collected through the primary sources by designing a questionnaire and distributed to a sample of inmates in Khartoum state; the data were analysis by SPSS program using the analytical statistical method through using some of the suitable non-parametric tests for each case. The most important results of the research were: there was significant relationship between the type of crime and the age group therefore, we found that the age group (20-29) was the most frequent crime particularly, the fi

The Role of Neudesin as a Novel Biomarker – in Iraqi Patients with Parkinson's Disease and Osteoporosis
...Show More Authors

Neuron-derived neurotrophic factor [NENF], a human plasma neurotrophic factor, also increases neurotrophic activity in conjunction with Parkinson's disease-related proteins in Neudesin. Although Neudesin (neuron-derived neurotrophic secreted protein) is a member of the membrane-associated progesterone receptor (MAPR) protein subclass, it is not evolutionary related to the other members of the same family. The expression of Neudesin is found in both brain and spinal cord from embryonic stages to adulthood, as w Neudesin levels in Parkinson's patients with osteoporosis disease and Parkinson's patients without osteoporosis disease, as well as the relationship between Neudesin levels, Anthropometric and Clinical Features (Age, Gender, BMI) and

Exploring the Impact of Anthropometric Measurements on Kidney Cancer Progression in Iraqi Patients: A Comprehensive Analysis
...Show More Authors

Despite not being digested, trace elements and/or heavy metals are important for the activity of enzymes, physiological processes, and homeostasis. If certain trace elements are present in excess, they can have harmful effects and pose major health hazards. Objective: The aims to examine the connection between serum zinc, copper levels, and the Cu/Zn ratio, and several anthropometric parameters, including an index of body mass and the waist-hip ratio. In our study, we used atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) to measure serum levels of copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) in 60 individuals, 30 patients with kidney cancer and 30 healthy controls. We assessed serum uric acid, creatinine, and urea using the semi-auto analyzer BA-88A (Korea). The results
