Trends of Arabic Language Teachers in the Secondary Stage towards Homework
...Show More Authors

The problem of the research is indicated by answering the following questions: 1) what are the attitudes of the Arabic language teachers towards homework?

2) Do the Arabic language teachers differ in their attitudes towards homework according to their specialization? 3) Do the Arabic language teachers differ in their attitudes towards homework according to their gender (male and female)? According to the three questions asked above, we may state the following hypotheses. There is no statistically significant difference between the average of the marks of Arabic language teachers in the real practice of the scale of the attitudes towards their homework and their average in the hypothetical practice of the scale, which is expected (0.05). 2-There is no statistically significant difference between the averages of Arabic language teacher’s marks in the scale of the attitudes towards homework in term of specialization at (0.05). The sample of the research consists of (986) teachers (male and female), (540) are male and (446) are female teachers of Arabic language at secondary schools in Baghdad city. In order to make sure of the hypothesis of the research, the researcher has prepared a scale to measure the Arabic language teachers’ attitudes towards homework. The scale consists of (50) items, (24) are negative items and (26) positive. The results revealed that the Arabic language teachers have positive attitudes towards homework; the attitudes of the Arabic language female teachers towards homework are higher compared to male teachers.

According to the results of the research, the researcher has come out with some recommendations and suggestions.

A total of 116 species belonging to 9 genera were identified. The most dominant genera included Spirogyra and Cosmarium (31, 30) taxa respectively. Out of them, 30 species were recorded for the first time in Iraq. Newly found genera included one species each for Cylindrocystis, Debarya, Hallasia and Staurastrum, nine species belonged to Mougeotia

Abstract<p>In this paper, we employ the maximum likelihood estimator in addition to the shrinkage estimation procedure to estimate the system reliability (Rk ) contain Kth parallel components in the stress-strength model, when the stress and strength are independent and non-identically random variables and they follow two parameters Exponentiated Inverted Weibull Distribution (EIWD). Comparisons among the proposed estimators were presented depend on simulation established on mean squared error (MSE) criteria.</p>

The Relationship between Interleukin-33(IL-33) and Oxidative Stress in Diabetic Patients with Cardiomyopathy
...Show More Authors

Interleukin -33 (IL)-33 is among IL-1 cytokine superfamily , which shows promise as a biomarker predictive of mortality in diabetic and several cardiovascular disorders in vivo study. The objective of this study  is to investigate the differences in the levels of IL-33 between healthy controls and patients with type 2 diabetes and diabetic cardiomyopathy and to investigate the correlation of IL-33 with HbA1C (biomarkers of type 2 diabetes), hs-CRP  and oxidant –antioxidant status.    One hundred and fifty individuals (age 40-55) were enrolled in this study which was divided into three groups as follows: G1:50 healthy control,G2: 50 subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus,G3: 50 patients with dia

Theoretical Study for the Electron Drift Velocity in Sf6 Gas and Its Mixture with Nitrogen
...Show More Authors

Calculations and predication a theoretical formulas for the electron drift velocity in a gas medium are achieved to deduced the electron distribution function for different gas concentrations. The calculations are achieved by using the numerical solution for  Boltzmann transport equation in two term approximation, using the NOMAD  program for the drift velocity in a gas medium. It's necessary to note that the solution is essentially depending upon the elastic and inelastic collision cross section. In order to fixe a good accuracy for the using cross section it's necessary to calculate the electron distribution function and therefore study their behavior. Results about the electron drift velocity show that a decreasing pro

Gender Differences in Adverse Drug Reactions Among Adult Patients Reported to the Iraqi Pharmacovigilance Center
...Show More Authors

For many years it was argued that there may be a gender differences in adverse drug reactions (ADRs). This assumption was based on many possible factors such as hormonal or behavior differences, and it was not clearly identified since the female gender was not preferred to be enrolled in many clinical trials. The primary aim of this study was to assess the extent of possibly relevant gender differences in drug–ADRs regarding causality, severity, preventability, seriousness, expectedness and outcome. While the secondary aim was to assess for which group of drugs and for which ADRs gender differences are identified most often. The study was a retrospective one that depends on processing a specially selected group of data obtained from th

Belief about Medications Among Type 2 Diabetic Patients Attending the National Diabetes Center in Iraq.
...Show More Authors

Diabetes mellitus is a common health problem worldwide counting about 1.2 million cases in Iraq in 2015. Taking in account of the patient’s beliefs about the prescribed medication had been reported to be one of the most important factors that affects adherence where holding positive beliefs about medications is a prerequisite for intentional adherence. The aim of the current study was to investigate and assess beliefs about medicines among type 2 diabetic patients and to determine possible association between this belief and glycemic control as well as some patient-specific factors. This study is a cross-sectional study carried out on 380 (mean age 56.58± 10.06 years) already diagnosed T2DM patients who attended the National Diabetes

ESTIMATION THE 7 AND 28- DAY NORMAL COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH BY ACCELERATED TEST METHODS IN CONCRETE
...Show More Authors

Curing of concrete is the maintenance of a satisfactory moisture content and temperature for a
period of time immediately following placing so the desired properties are developed. Accelerated
curing is advantages where early strength gain in concrete is important. The expose of concrete
specimens to the accelerated curing conditions which permit the specimens to develop a significant
portion of their ultimate strength within a period of time (1-2 days), depends on the method of the
curing cycle.Three accelerated curing test methods are adopted in this study. These are warm water,
autogenous and proposed test methods. The results of this study has shown good correlation
between the accelerated strength especially for

Predictability of Burnout in perceived self-competence among Mothers of Students with Disabilities at Sultanate of Oman
...Show More Authors

Abstract

The current study aims to identify the predictability of burnout in perceived self-competence among mothers of students with disabilities in the Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consists of (484) respondents who were mothers of students with disabilities. The researcher developed a burnout Scale which consists of (19) items and a perceived self-competence Scale which consists of (20) items. A correlation descriptive design was used. The results showed that the level of burnout was low (Mean= 2.30), while the level of burnout was high (Mean= 3.87). Regarding the correlation coefficient, the results showed that there was a significant negative correlation between burnout and perceived self-competence. A

Synthesis of Bimetallic Au–Pt / TiO2 Catalysts as an Efficient Catalyst for the Photodegradation of Crystal Violet Dye
...Show More Authors

Bimetallic Au –Pt catalysts supporting TiO2 were synthesised using two methods; sol immobilization and impregnation methods. The prepared catalyst underwent a thermal treatment process at 400 C, while the reduction reaction under the same condition was done and the obtained catalysts were identified with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). It has been found that the prepared catalysts have a dimension around 2.5 nm and the particles have uniform orders leading to high dispersion of platinum molecules .The prepared catalysts have been examined as efficient photocatalysts to degrade the Crystal violet dye under UV-light. The optimum values of Bimetallic Au –
