Based on the principles of sustainable urban planning and in order to achieve adequate opportunities for the lives of the population and provide them with sustainable livelihoods, policies have emerged to upgrade along the lines of community participation and programmes to reform and develop those neighbourhoods, raise their efficiency and make them livable. Thus, the problem of research was identified "The absence of a comprehensive cognitive perception of the most prominent factors influencing community participation and its role in upgrading degraded neighborhoods". Accordingly, the research objective was set to activate community participation mechanisms to identify the most important factors influencing community participation and their impact on the development of degraded residential areas. While the main research hypothesis is (There are a range of factors influencing the activation of community participation to upgrade degraded residential areas). On one hand, the research included a theoretical aspect addressing the concept of community participation, the factors affecting it, the importance, objectives, benefits and patterns of community participation, and the concept, types and characteristics of degraded residential areas. On the other hand, the practical aspect included studying Imam district in Nasiriyah, where a questionnaire was conducted for a sample of residents in the neighborhood. The research, using the logistical regression model, found that stimulating the desire to participate through advisory and consultation has a moral and positive effect in activating community participation. In addition, empowering the community through their participation in workshops and training contributes to job creation, reducing unemployment and enabling participation in the upgrading of the residential area.The research also found that there were other influential factors but that their impact was not moral such as sex, age, length of stay, property and trust in the local authority. The research concluded that upgrading degraded residential areas can be done by engaging individuals and increasing their desire to develop their neighborhoods. Also, by social development and social inclusion through workshops, consultation and training in order to enhance their skills and enhance their participation in achieving the goal of improving urban and living standards.
The characterization of ZnO and ZnO:In thin films were confirmed by spray pyrolysis technique. The films were deposited onto glass substrate at a temperature of 450°C. Optical absorption measurements were also studied by UV-VIS technique in the wavelength range 300-900 nm which was used to calculate the optical constants. The changes in dispersion and Urbach parameters were investigated as a function of In content. The optical energy gap was decreased and the wide band tails were increased in width from 616 to 844 eV as the In content increased from 0wt.% to 3wt.%. The single–oscillator parameters were determined also the change in dispersion was investigated before and after doping.

In this paper waste natural material (date seed) and polymer particles(UF) were used for investigation of removal dye of the potassium permanganate. Also study effect some variables such as pH, dye concentration and adsorbent concentration on dye removal. 15 experimental runs were done using the itemized conditions designed established on the Box-Wilson design employed to optimize dye removal. The optimum conditions for the dye removal were found: (pH) 12, (dye con.) 2.38 ppm, (adsorbant con.) 0.0816 gm for date seed with 95.22% removal and for UF (pH) 12, (dye con.) 18 ppm, (adsorbant con.) 0.2235 gm with 91.43%. In this work Nano crystalline (Cu2S) thin films pure and doped 3% Al with a thickness of 400±20 nm was precipitated by thermic steaming technicality on glass substrate beneath a vacuum of ~ 2 × 10− 6 mbar at R.T to survey the influence of doping and annealing after doping at 573 K for one hour on its structural, electrical and visual properties. Nicotine was separated from eggplant and green pepper seeds (Solanaceous) by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).The concentration of nicotine in the eggplant extract (0.871-0.877 μg/ml) was determined by injecting standard material with 0.5 and 1.5 μg/ml, while the concentrations of nicotine in green pepper extract (0.613-0.618 μg/ml) was determined when the standard material was injected with 0.5 and 1.5 μg/ml.
