Echinococcosis is a zoonotic disease caused by the larval stage of the tapeworm Echinococcus granulosus. This disease is an important public health and a significant economic issue in Iraq, where the lungs and livers are the popular places of infection. Developmental enamel defects in primary teeth have been found at least twice as frequently in disabled children as in control children.
