The Effect of Time and Place Dimensions on Changing the Quality Dimensions of Sizes of Cities: A Case Study (Baghdad city)
...Show More Authors

The city has normal natural state, and the man has a usual movement, change and search for the new .Also, the city has a usual change and transform in its time, place and quality (sizes)structures. The city has a solid memory diving into the past and the future and reflects The real present, and this memory has a timing layers change into real materialistic place making the city has accumulated overlapping circles which is hard to break u , and it broadcasts the lockup timing density ,in which there is no visual record precisely, it is just like((the social record)) that evaluates the un visual relationships between the components and parts of the city (community and form) in a visual quiet exhibition and transform change inside. There is no city on earth stayed as it is in its size and shape, in which both of these are in a continuous change (increase and decrease) and continuous transform. Because all cities lie on urbanization development pressures that is the population growth and become exhibited worldly especially after the Second World War. Thus, the problem lies on the defect of time and place structures of the city that reflects negatively on the quality structures (sizes). Then, the deformed change and growth of the city loses its historical storage and it imitates the growth samples out of it is contexts that can not follow it. The cities are born as an urban organization which it could be formal or communal, and it don’t stay on its size or form which it born upon them. Actually it's suffer from transformation and changing's or both of them and they are caused by the effects of time and place. As a result of these effects the city may be witness (size operation), or change its architectural properties, all this will be study in the theoretical side of the research. The research applied its theory on Baghdad city as a case study. Baghdad so that any other cities as something alive which is born, then witness transformations and changing which causing to it time and place effects, they are effect its size (increase and decrease) according to the time effect (event) that made the change or the place effect, and all above will be search in more details with a historical sequences, and in a descriptive and analytical method during the practical side of the research. For this, the research aims at checking these effects of time and place and its reflection on the quality size of city (area and population) taking the change in size of Baghdad city and its growth through the

Morphodynamics, landform development and origin of the Ga’ara depression, Western Desert of Iraq
...Show More Authors

This work deals with the study of the morphodynamics, history of development of landforms and the origin of the Ga’ara depression. The depression is a suboval erosional topographic feature extending in E-Wdirection and located about 50 km north of Rutba Town, at the Western Desert of Iraq. The area is characterized by fresh and clean surfaces, scarcity of vegetation, abundance of rills, intense drainage and immature soil. These clues indicate that the erosion in the study area is effective. Four types of erosion features are recognized in this area namely sheet, rill, badland and wind erosion. The extent of the wind erosion depends on its position in relation to the prevailing wind direction. Water, wind and gravity are the main agents of

Evaluation of the Wound-Healing Activity and Apoptotic Induction of New Quinazolinone Derivatives
...Show More Authors

Background: Chemotherapeutic medication treatment for cancer is typically used in conjunction with other techniques as part of a routine regimen. It is well established that the capacity of different chemotherapeutic drugs to induce apoptosis is correlated with their anticancer efficacy. Quinazolinone-based drugs have demonstrated excellent responses from several cancer cell types. These substances have a lot of potential for use as building blocks in the creation of apoptosis inducers. Objective: To assess the new quinazolinone derivatives (M1 and M2) that were recently synthesized for their potential to halt wound healing and to use the acridine orange/propidium iodide (AO/PI) double stain to assess their capacity to induce apopto

The Use of Cone Projections and Quadratic programming in Estimation of Constrained Regression
...Show More Authors

Statisticians often use regression models like parametric, nonparametric, and semi-parametric models to represent economic and social phenomena. These models explain the relationships between different variables in these phenomena. One of the parametric model techniques is conic projection regression. It helps to find the most important slopes for multidimensional data using prior information about the regression's parameters to estimate the most efficient estimator. R algorithms, written in the R language, simplify this complex method. These algorithms are based on quadratic programming, which makes the estimations more accurate.

Computational Optimization of the Radial and Spiral Distortion Aberration Coefficients of Magnetic Deflector
...Show More Authors

Abstract:The optimum design of the magnetic deflector with the lowest values of the radial and spiral distortion aberration coefficients was computed. The optimized calculations were made using three models, Glaser bell-shaped, Grivet-lenz and exponential models. By using the optimum axial field distribution, the pole pieces shape which gave rise to those field distributions was found by using the reconstruction method. The calculations show that the results of the three models coincide at the lower values of the excitation parameter. In general the Glaser- bell shaped model gives the optimum results at the whole range of the excitation parameter under investigation. The negative values of the spiral distortion aberration coefficient appears

Role of the Immunohistochemical Marker (Ki67) in Diagnosis and Classification of Hydatidiform Mole
...Show More Authors

Introduction: Since the hallmark of gestational trophoblastic disease is trophoblastic proliferation, Ki67 is regarded as the best marker in studying hydatidiform mole. This study was conducted to evaluate the role of this proliferative marker in distinguishing among hydropic abortion, partial and complete hydatidiform mole. Materials and methods: This is a cross sectional study involving the application of Ki67 on a total of 90 histological samples of curetting materials from molar (partial and complete mole) and non molar hydropic abortion belong to Iraqi females, so three study groups were created. Immunohistochemical expression in villous cytotrophoblasts, syncytiotrophoblasts and stromal cells were recorded separately by three i

Assessment of the properties of asphalt mixtures modified with LDPE and HDPE polymers
...Show More Authors

The performance of asphalt pavements is crucial due to heavy traffic loads from civil and industrial developments. Various additives and modifiers are used in flexible roads to improve their resistance to deterioration caused by climatic changes. From this context, modifying the asphalt binder with polymers is popular in asphalt pavement construction. The present research investigates the effect of Polyethylene (PE) polymers in powder form on the characteristics of asphalt mixtures since these polymers are composed of hydrocarbons. It is similar to asphalt binders, making them very effective in enhancing the performance of neat asphalt produced from the oil refinery. To confirm this, two types of PE, High-Density PE (HDPE) and Low-Density P

Resilience and Environmental Performance of SMEs: The Mediating Role of Ambidextrous Green Innovation
...Show More Authors

The disruptions in supply chains have put small‐ and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) in dire need of resilient supply chains through which they can improve their performance. Based on the resource dependence theory, this study proposes a mediation model to improve the environmental performance (EP) of SMEs. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of supply chain resilience (SCR) on EP mediated by ambidextrous green innovation (AMGI). We proved a structural equation model based on questionnaire data from 261 companies in Iraq to test our hypotheses. The results show that SCR has a positive effect on AMGI for proactive and exploitative green innovation dimensions and positive impact on SMEs’ EP. AMGI plays a media
