Comparison Between ESP and Gas Lift in Buzurgan Oil field/Iraq

Buzurgan oil Field which is located in south of Iraq has been producing oil for five decades that caused production to drop in many oil wells. This paper provides a technical and economical comparison between the ESP and gas lift in one oil well (Bu-16) to help enhancing production and maximize revenue. Prosper software was used to build, match and design the artificial lift method for the selected well, also to predict the well behavior at different water cut values and its effect on artificial lift method efficiency. The validity of software model was confirmed by matching, where the error difference value between actual and calculated data was (-1.77%).

The ESP results showed the durability of ESP regarding the increment of water cut value, on the other hand Gas lift design was restricted to surface injection pressure and injected gas volume which in return causes a restriction to production rate specially when water cut value increases. Economically the results showed ESP is cheaper and more applicable than gas lift.

Reservoir Model and Production Strategy of Mishrif Reservoir-Nasryia Oil Field Southern Iraq

Nasryia oil field is located about 38 Km to the north-west of Nasryia city. The field was discovered in 1975 after doing seismic by Iraqi national oil company. Mishrif formation is a carbonate rock (Limestone and Dolomite) and its thickness reach to 170m. The main reservoir is the lower Mishrif (MB) layer which has medium permeability (3.5-100) md and good porosity (10-25) %. Biostratigraphy of Hartha Formation from Selected Wells in Nasiriyah Oil Field, Southern Iraq

     The Hartha Formation has been investigated from a biostratigraphic view in three subsurface sections in the Nasiriyah Oil field, wells Ns1, Ns3, and Ns4, South of Iraq. Hartha Formation is composed of limestone and has various areas of intense dolomitization alternating with marly limestone. The formation ranges in thickness from 126 to 182 meters. Stratigraphy Analysis of the Nahr Umr Formation in Zubair oil field, Southern Iraq

     The Nahr Umr Formation is considered one of the main reservoirs produced in southern Iraq. It is one of the important siliciclastic deposits of the Cretaceous sequence of Iraq oilfields. Zubair oil fields ZB-190 and ZB-047 were chosen to study areas. Using Computer Processing Interpretation (CPI) Technique to Evaluate Mishrif Formation in Garraf Oil Field, Southern Iraq

The aim of this study is to determine and evaluate the units and subunits of Mishrif Formation in Garraf oil field 85 km north of Nasiriyah city depending mainly on the geophysical well logging data and other amiable geological information. A comparison between Trichomoniasis Infection and other Vaginal Infection among Females in Baghdad Governorate- Iraq

Trichomoniasis is a parasitic disease caused by the protozoan Trichomonas vaginalis. It is the most common sexually transmitted protozoal infection. There is no estimated of infection intensity among reproductive-age females. Further studies of the infection intensity of trichomoniasis and other vaginal infection will highlight the importance of this pathogen as a public health problem. Subsurface Investigation of Merjan oil field Depending on 3D Seismic Reflection Central Iraq

The study deals with 3D seismic reflection in the central Iraq within Merjan oil field which is located approximately (130 km) to the southwest Baghdad and south of Razaza.
