A combined two-stage process is proposed as an alternative of the heavy metals removal from aqueous solutions. High voltage power supply with variable operating voltage (0-20 kv) and operating current (1-3A) was built and tested successfully. Currently, more than 110,000 types of MOFs have been reported among the countless possibilities.
