Importance of New Use of Concrete in Iraq Analysis of Development And Use of Concrete in Architecture
...Show More Authors

Since its invention by the Ancient Romans and later developed during the mid-18th century, the concrete structure and finish, has been considered as the most powerful, practical, economic and constructional material that meets the building’s architectural and aesthetical requirements. By creating unique architectural forms, the pioneer architects used concrete widely to shape up their innovative designs and buildings.

The pre-mixed ultra-high performance concrete which manufactured by Lafarge.

The transparent concrete and cement that allow the light beams to pass through them, introduces remarkable well-lit architectural spaces within the same structural criteria. This product is a recyclable, sustainable, friendly environmental and cost efficient back up.

Due to its characteristics, strength, flexibility, affordability and long term performance, the concert integrated and contributed in modern architecture, urbanism and civil developments. Apparently, most of the 20th Century architects employed high-tech concrete method to deliver Iconic and bespoke architectural monuments world-wide. The interaction between the architectural form and the concrete as a buildable, executable, structural and constructional material has been always the main concern for architects over generations.

The formalism in architecture was first identified by the Art-Nouveau movement during the early 20 century in Europe as well as in Northern America. It formed, utilized and sculptured the concert to meet the use, function, aesthetical and spatial needs of spaces. This wave generated series of most significant, outstanding and impressive buildings in the architectural symbolized record.

This was followed by the Brutalism architecture presented by Alison and Peter Smithson in England and also by Le Corbusier works in Marseille and India. However, Alvar Alto and Louis Khan have participated and established a tremendous use of concrete to erect public interest developments on the same era

The concert as a structural element dominated the Metabolism architecture that represented by the Japanese architects like Kiyonori Kikutake, Kisho Kurokawa, Noboru Kawazoe, Masato Otakaand and Fumihiko Maki. They visualized the city of the future to be viable, evaluable, expandable, flexible structures that evoked the processes of organic growth as it is in nature. Their developments are often called technocratic and described as avant-garde with a rhetorical character. The Metabolist mega structures heavily relied on advanced technology and adaptable plug-in building techniques in using this material.

The research concluded the influences of the concrete as a building material upon the modern and building forms from the outsets. By exploring the history of the material, expanding its characteristics and specifications and later demonstrating the modern architecture movements and architects, this research has achieved its targets to acknowledge the importance of concrete in the current construction market and architectural developments.

Abstract

This research deals with the definition of the concept of nodal purposes, And what is related to it, from its aim and importance, And for the purposes of the importance of Streptococcus In trying to understand the nodal truths For different minds, Especially with those who object to the introduction of belief in purposes studies, This research has two requirements:

The first requirement: the concept and the aim of contractual purposes,It consists of two branches, The first is in the concept of nodal purposes, And it dealt with the definitions in terms of language and terminology And what we see is proportional to what aim

Wohlfahrtia longicorpuris sp. nov., from Iraq described, illustrated and distinguished from related species. The adults were reared from larvae collected from ulcer of a human face. Wohlfahrtia Brauer and Bergenstam is one of most important genus, which contains 19 species (Pape, 1998), some of these produce myiasis in mammals (Verves,1985).Taxonomic revision of this genus has been carried out by the following authors: Rohdendrof (1956), Zumpt (1965) and Pape (1996).

Evaluating Concrete Strength Under Various Curing Conditions Using Artificial Neural Networks
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>This study examines the impact of different curing methods on the compressive strength of concrete. It investigates techniques such as air curing, periodic water spraying, full water submersion, and polyethylene encasement. Artificial neural network models were employed to evaluate the compressive strength under each curing condition. A model for calculating compressive strength that considers surrounding conditions was created using an artificial neural network. The current study’s figures were generated using this model. The research thoroughly examined the impact of curing environments and concrete mix components on strength properties, taking into account factors such as tempera</p> ... Show More

Load Distribution Factors For Horizontally Curved Composite Concrete-Steel Girder Bridges
...Show More Authors

This paper focuses on Load distribution factors for horizontally curved composite concrete-steel girder bridges. The finite-element analysis software“SAP2000” is used to examine the key parameters that can influence the distribution factors for horizontally curved composite steel
girders. A parametric study is conducted to study the load distribution characteristics of such bridge system due to dead loading and AASHTO truck loading using finite elements method. The key parameters considered in this study are: span-to-radius of curvature ratio, span length, number of girders, girders spacing, number of lanes, and truck loading conditions. The results have shown that the curvature is the most critical factor which plays an important

ROCK JOINTS ANALYSIS TO DETERMINE THE MAIN STRESS FIELD IN BUSTANAH STRUCTURE NORTHEAST OF IRAQ
...Show More Authors

Joints are among the most widespread geologic structures as they are found in most each exposure of rock. They differ greatly in appearance, dimensions, and arrangement, besides they occur in quite different tectonic environments. This study is important because joints provide evidence on what kind of stress produced them (history of deformation) and also because they change the characteristics of the rocks in which they occur. The Measured data of joints from the studied area which are located in the high folded zone – Northeast of Iraq, were classified according to their relationship with the tectonic axes by projecting them stereographically using Schmidt net in GEOrient ver.9.5.0 software. The joint systems revealed the orientation of

Abstract<p>The increased applications of technology in the field of architecture, especially digital technology and aspects of automation, have made a major impact on various aspects of local architecture, especially the traditional ones. As these technologies have succeeded in integrating many technological applications in many traditional and heritage buildings and taking them to more complex uses. And included in it characteristics that were not contained, therefore the research problem was concentrated in the absence of a holistic view of the role of the aspects of automation as a technological and design effect and its mutual effects on traditional buildings (especially the traditional Bagh</p> ... Three records within this genus were newly recorded to our country in the present work and they are S. kermanshahansis Rech S. setifera C.A. Mey. subsp setifera, S. setifera ssp iranica (Reck.) The characteristics of these new records were also given with some representative specimens.
