Hydrodesulfurization of Iraqi Atmospheric Gasoil by Ti-Ni-Mo/γ-Al2O3 Prepared Catalyst
...Show More Authors

This study investigates the improvement of Iraqi atmospheric gas oil characteristics which contains 1.402 wt. % sulfur content and 16.88 wt. % aromatic content supplied from Al-Dura Refinery by using hydrodesulfurization (HDS) process using Ti-Ni-Mo/γ-Al2O3 prepared catalyst in order to achieve low sulfur and aromatic saturation gas oil. Hydrodearomatization (HDA) occurs simultaneously with hydrodesulfurization (HDS) process. The effect of titanium on the conventional catalyst Ni-Mo/γ-Al2O3 was investigated by physical adsorption and catalytic activity test.Ti-Ni-Mo/γ-Al2O3 catalyst was prepared under vacuum impregnation condition to ensure efficient precipitation of metals within the carrier γ-Al2O3. The loading percentage of metals as oxide; titanium oxide 3 wt. %, nickel oxide 5 wt. % and molybdenum oxide 12 wt. %. The performance of the synthesized catalyst for removing sulfur and aromatic saturation were tested at various temperatures 275 to 350°C, LHSV 1 to 4h-1, constant pressure 40 bar and H2/HC ratio 500 ml/ml.Results showed that the sulfur and aromatic content were reduced at all operating conditions. Maximum sulfur removal was 75.52 wt. % in gas oil on Ti-Ni-Mo/γ-Al2Oat temperature 350˚C, LHSV 1h-1, while minimum aromatic content achieved was 15.6 wt. % at the same conditions.

Bioremoval of Lead and Cadmium by the Alga westillopsis prolifica
...Show More Authors

Westiellopsis prlifica was exposed to 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10 ppm from both lead & Cadmium, in order to measure their capacity to remove these metals from the polluted aquatic environment and to study its ability to tolerant them. The algae were grown under optimum conditions.
Westiellopsis prlifica had the ability to remove the lead with percentages about 31.57, 54.42, 62.35, 61.8, 57.02 and 68.34% for the concentrations 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10 ppm, respectively, but it was found that these percentages were be better in the last day of the experiment for some of the concentrations 1, 2 and 3 ppm, While the tolerant of it to lead was up to the concentration 10 ppm.
Westiellopsis prlifica appears ability to remove Cadmium with percent

Estimation of Survival Function for Rayleigh Distribution by Ranking function:-
...Show More Authors

In this article, performing and deriving te probability density function for Rayleigh distribution is done by using ordinary least squares estimator method and Rank set estimator method. Then creating interval for scale parameter of Rayleigh distribution. Anew method using   is used for fuzzy scale parameter. After that creating the survival and hazard functions for two ranking functions are conducted to show which one is beast.

Production, Purification and Characterization of Uricase Produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa
...Show More Authors

In this study, detection of uricase production from Pseudomonas aeruginosa
isolates was done by applying colorimetric method, Uricase was purified from the
most potent isolate by precipitation using ammonium sulphate (80% saturation) then
purification was achieved using DEAE –Cellulose ion exchange and Sepharose 6B
gel filtration chromatography column, 16.4% of total enzyme was recovered with
specific activity 2337.5U/mg and 22.21folds of purification. Characterization of
uricase involved detection of optimal conditions for uricase activity, the maximal
activity was obtained at temperature 45ºC,while uricase appeared to be stable at
40ºC. Uricase showed optimal activity at pH 9 while pH stability was in the

Adsorption Studies of Cobalt (II) Complex By Bentonite clay surface
...Show More Authors

This paper is summarized with one of the applications of adsorption behavior; A UV-Vis method has been applied to survey the isotherm of adsorption. Results for experimental showed the applicability of Langmuir equation. The effect of temperature on the adsorption of cobalt (II) Complex by bentonite surface was studied. The results shown that the amount of adsorption was formed to increase, such as the temperature increase (Endothermic process). Cobalt (II) Complex has adsorption studies by bentonite surface at different pH values (1.6-10); these studies displayed an increase in adsorption with increasing pH. ∆G, ∆H, and ∆S thermodynamic functions of the cobalt (II) Complex for their adsorption have been calculated

Identification of Cladosporium sp. Fungi by in- silico RFLP-PCR
...Show More Authors

Cladosporium sp. plays an important role in human health, it is one of the pathogenic fungi which cause allergy and asthma and most frequently isolated from airborne spores.  In this study, a couple of universal PCR primers were designed to identify the pathogenic fungi Cladosporium sp. according to conserved region 5.8S, 18S and 28S subunit ribosomal RNA gene in Cladosporium species. In silico RFLP-PCR were used to identify twenty-four Cladosporium strains. The results showed that the universal primer has the specificity to amplify the conserved region in 24 species as a band in virtual agarose gel. They also showed that the RFLP method is able to identify three Cladosporium spe

PHYTOREMEDIATION OF SYNTHETIC WASTEWATER CONTAINING COPPER BY USING NATIVE PLANT
...Show More Authors

This study was aimed to assess the efficiency of N.oleander to remove heavy metals such as Copper (Cu) from wastewater. A toxicity test was conducted outdoor for 65-day to estimate the ability of N.oleander to tolerate Cu in synthetic wastewater. Based on a previous range-finding test, five concentrations were used in this test (0, 50, 100, 300, 510 mg/l). The results showed that maximum values of removal efficiency was found 99.9% on day-49 for the treatment 50 mg/l. Minimum removal efficiency was 94% day-65 for the treatment of 510 mg/l. Water concentration was within the permissible limits of river conservation and were 0.164 at day-35 for the 50 mg/l treatment, decreased thereafter until the end of the observation, and 0.12 at d
