Facters affected trends of Contemporary Mosques Architecture
...Show More Authors

Recently new trends of mosques’ architecture have appeared. These trends differed from those of traditional ones in charictaristics which include two and three dimentional level. The traditional mosques' architecture are affected by several factors, so the research problem is (lack of knoweledge about factors forming traditional mosques' architecture and its effect on contemporary trends of mosques' architecture). The hypotheses of research is (the functional, aesthetic and symbolic religious factors of style are the most active factors in forming contemporary trends of mosques' architecture than religious and environmental factor). The research conclusion is that the symbolic functional factor is most effective factor in forming the layout of contemporary trends of mosques architecture while aesthetic and symbolic religious factors  represent the factors that form main prayer hall  and formal level of new trends.

Investigation of plasma characteristics of center region of post cylindrical magnetron sputtering device
...Show More Authors

A d.c. magnetron sputtering system was designed and fabricated. The chamber of this system is consisted from two copper coaxial cylinders. The inner one used as the cathode and the outer one used as anode with magnetic coil located on the outer cylinder (anode). The axial behavior of the magnetic field strength along the cathode surface for various coil current (from 2A to 14A) are shown. The results of this work are investigated by three cylindrical Langmuir probes that have different diameters that are 2.2mm, 1mm, and 0.45mm. The results of these probes show that, there are two Maxwellian electron groups appear in the central region. As well as, the density of electron and ion decreases with increases of magnetic field strengths.

...Show More Authors

Over the course of six decades, Iraq exposed to many events that have affected the Iraqi people from the social, physical and mental aspects. In this study, two groups of people (2369), from Iraq (G1) and the Michigan, United States (U.S) of America (G2) selected to compare the prevalence rate and effects of trauma factors such as mental illness (anxiety, depression and PTS), somatic diseases (heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes), substances abuse (illicit drugs, alcohol and tobacco), and chemicals pollution), and self-rated health among the two groups. The study results reveals a significant different between the two groups in the all indicators for trauma. The study conclude that Iraqi in U.S. (G2) suffer from factors completely dif

Effect of Gamma Rays on Some Stages of Development of Rhyzopertha dominica (Fab.)
...Show More Authors

The effect of different doses of gamma rays that emitted from 60Co on the development of different stages of lesser grain borer Rhyzopertha dominica (Fab.) was investigated . The results showed that the eggs in both early (1-3 days) and late (7-9) old were very sensitive to gamma rays and its hatch was zero at 10 Gy for both ages in comparison with 83.3% for the control group. Furthermore, the results illustrated that the larval stage in its two old ages were different in the radiosensitivity, the percent of its death were 100% & 96.6% when they exposed to 100 & 120 Gy, respectively. Moreover, the results showed that the sensitivity of pupal stage at age of 1-3 days was increased with increasing the doses of gamma rays, the percent of no
