Two unsupervised classifiers for optimum multithreshold are presented; fast Otsu and k-means. The unparametric methods produce an efficient procedure to separate the regions (classes) by select optimum levels, either on the gray levels of image histogram (as Otsu classifier), or on the gray levels of image intensities(as k-mean classifier), which are represent threshold values of the classes. In order to compare between the experimental results of these classifiers, the computation time is recorded and the needed iterations for k-means classifier to converge with optimum classes centers. The variation in the recorded computation time for k-means classifier is discussed.

In this study, we report a statistical study for the relationship between coronal mass ejections (CMEs) and sunspot number (SSN) that were registered during the period 2008-2017 for the solar cycle 24. SSN was extracted from Sunspot Index and Long-term Solar Observations (SILSO), while CMEs number from observations made by the Large Angle and Spectrometric Coronagraph (LASCO) on board the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory mission (SOHO). Magnesium-doped Zinc oxide (ZnO: Mg) nanorods (NRs) films and pure Zinc oxide deposited on the p-silicon substrates were prepared by hydrothermal method. The doping level of the Mg concentration (atoms ratio of Mg to Zn was chosen to be 0.75% and 1.5%. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) were performed to characterize the prepared films. The average concentration of radionuclide’s in the various banana samples were collected from being the most popular markets in Baghdad city - Iraq were measured by use Sodium Iodide Thallium [NaI(Tl)] detector. The radionuclide’s observed with reliable regularity belonged to the series-decay naturally occurring radionuclide’s headed by 232U and 232Th as well as the non-series nuclide, 40K and 137Cs. The average concentration of 40K was found the least average concentration value recorded as876.74625Bq kg-1.The average concentration of 238U was 28.6425Bqkg-1for ²³²Th, it was found to have the average concentration 14.1805 Bqkg-1. The cesium concentration in the sample was found in the healthy range.

To determine the relationship between hepatitis C virus infection and Diabetic mellitus type 2 , twenty patient's with diabetic mellitus type 2 aged (30-61) years old have been investigated from 01/11/2014 to 01/02/2015 and compared with fifteen parentally healthy individuals. All the studies groups were carried out to measure anti-HCV Abs by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), There was significant elevation (P≤0.05) in the HCV Abs compared with control groups .The percentage of HCV Abs was 15% and there was highly significant (P≤0.01) differences between studied group, while there was non-significant differences (P≥0.05) between patients groups according to age and gender compared with control groups. Oxidative stress plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of peripheral artery disease (PAD). This study aimed to investigate the effect of clopidogrel on oxidative stress in PAD patients. Seventy subjects were divided into three groups: PAD patients before treatment (B-PAD), PAD patients after treatment with clopidogrel (A-PAD), and healthy controls. Serum levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), manganese (Mn), and oxidized protein were measured. SOD activities were also determined. The results showed that SOD activities, and SOD specific activities were significantly decreased in PAD patients compared to healthy individuals. After treatment with clopidogrel, SOD activities, and SOD specific activities were continuous
