Thermal performance of closed wet cooling tower has been investigated experimentally and theoretically
in this work. The theoretical model based on heat and mass transfer equations and heat and mass transfer balance equations which are established for steady state case. A new small indirect cooling tower was used for conducting experiments. The cooling capacity of cooling tower is 1 kW for an inlet water temperature of 38oC, a water mass velocity 2.3 kg/m2.s and an air wet bulb temperature of 26oC. This study investigates the relationship between saturation efficiency, cooling capacity and coefficient of performance of closed wet cooling tower versus different operating parameters such wet-bulb temperature, variable air-spray water flow ratio and cooling water inlet temperature. Results indicate that the capacity and saturation efficiency was found close to the related experimental results. Good agreement was obtained between the theoretical results and experimental measurements for the performance of small cooling tower.
The new ligand [N1,N4-bis((1H-benzo[d]Glyoxalin-2-yl)carbamothioyl)Butanedi amide] (NCB) derived from Butanedioyl diisothiocyanate with 2-aminobenz imidazole was used to prepare a chain of new metal complexes of Cr(III), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Pd(II), Ag(I), Cd(II) by general formula [M(NCB)]Xn ,Where M= Cr(III), n=3, X=Cl; Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Pd(II), Cd(II) ,n=2 , X=Cl; Ag(I), n=1, X=NO3. Characterized compounds on the basis of 1H, 13CNMR (for (NCB), FT-IR and U.V spectrum, melting point, molar conduct, %C, %H, %N and %S, the percentage of the metal in complexes %M, Magnetic susceptibility, thermal studies (TGA),while its corrosion inhibition for mild steel in Ca(OH)2 solution is studied by weight loss. The current research aims to clarify the role of local policies on the performance of the province of Baghdad, after studies proved practical experience what those policies of the major role and effect on the lives of citizens, as well as alleviate the burden on central government, which make a lot of states give local governments broad powers and her specialty funds for the exercise of its vital role and actor in various joints of local development, research has indentified a problem in a number of questions such as: do you have the policy of the provincial council of local qualified and able to influence the performance of the province? What are the main forces of powerful and implementation of policies at all

In the practical aspect, the results of some financial ratios of Basrah Gas Company were compared with the adoption of the financial statements prepared on the basis of the consolidated accounting system with the prepared financial statements Based on the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The research has reached a number of conclusions, including a difference in the accounting rules and practices between IFRS and the consolidated accounting system in force in Iraq. The adoption of IFRS has led to a decrease in profitabi

The ligand and its metal complexes were characterized by phisco- chemical spectroscopic techniques. The spectral data were suggested that the (L) as a neutral tetradentate ligand is coordinated with the metal ions through two nitrogen and two oxygen atoms. These studies revealed Octahedral geometries for all metal complexes, except square planar for Pd(II) complex. Moreover, the thermodynamic activation parameters, such as ?E*, ?H, ?S, ?G and K are calculated from the TGA curves using Coa

Buckling analysis of composite laminates for critical thermal (uniform and linear) and mechanical loads is reported here. The objective of this work is to carry out theoretical investigation of buckling analysis of composite plates under thermomechanical loads, and experimental investigation under mechanical loads. The analytical investigation involved certain mathematical preliminaries, a study of equations of orthotropic elasticity for classical laminated plate theory (CLPT), higher order shear deformation plate theory (HSDT) , and numerical analysis (Finite element method), then the equation of motion are derived and solved using Navier method and Levy method for symmetric and anti-symmetric cross-ply and angle-ply laminated plates t

Study of the developed heater is conducted; using different porous disc thicknesses of (20, 40, 60 mm), heater wall temperatures (106 °C and 119 °C), and flow rates rare varied from (100–300 L/min). Al-metal foam disc has been made using the metal powder technology. Different resistive electrical heaters according to the type of porous disc used have been manufactured. A 2-D computational model is developed, using continuity, momentum, and energy equations for turbulent forced flow in plain tube,
