The Effect of Shear on the Properties of Rigid PVC
...Show More Authors

The rheological and fusion behavior of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds plays a dominant role in
the processing operations and in the development of physical properties in the processed material. A
comprehensive study was made in this work to evaluate the effect of shear and thermal history on stability, mechanical and rheological properties of rigid PVC compounds. Different samples of Rigid Poly vinyl chloride including dry blend powder, granules, and bottles molded from both were examined. A study was also made on recycled RPVC where 25% of reclaimed material was continuously blended with fresh dry blend and processed for 15 cycles. Results showed that compaction of the PVC material took place in the brabender plastograph at constant temperature and shear stress. Correlations were given to explain results concerning residual stability and rheological behavior. Furthermore, it was seen that elongation and tensile impact are dependent on shear history.

Comparison Between Different DNA and Conventional
...Show More Authors

Background: The discriminative power of the classical WHO parameters in relation to male fertility is quite low, because they only address few aspects of sperm quality and function. This has led investigators to focus their attention on the male gamete and in particular its genome. Objective: To explore which of the sperm DNA damage parameters measured by comet assay are more reliable, and their relations with the standard semen parameters. Methods: Study was done on 40 infertile men selected from couples attending the Institute of Embryo Reasearch and Infertility Treatment at Al-Kadhimiya City/ Baghdad in the period between February 2009 and May 2009, with a history of infertility of ≥1 years; and 15 healthy volunteers of proven fertili

Correlation between BOD5 and COD for Al-Diwaniyah wastewater treatment plants to obtain biodegradability indices.
...Show More Authors

The present study aims to establish an empirical correlation between biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) of the sewage flowing in Al-Diwaniyah wastewater treatment plant. The strength of the wastewater entering the plant varied from medium to high. High concentrations of BOD5 and COD in the effluent were obtained due to the poor performance of the plant. This was observed from the BOD5 /COD ratios that did not confirm with the typical ratios for the treated sewage. Regression equations for BOD5 and COD removal percentages were suggested which can be used to evaluate rapid effluent assessment after the treatment processes or optimal process control to improve the performance of wastewater treatment plants.

Amos Oz And His Status In Modern Hebrew Literature (Review Article)
...Show More Authors

This literary review addresses the status of the most famous Israeli writer, Amos Oz, through the analysis of relevant articles that highlight various aspects of his literary and political orientations, reflecting his ideological and social background. Oz's literature encompasses a mix of political orientations that many critics view as extreme, while others see them as moderate stances indicative of the author's awareness. And these are what strengthened his literary status in modern Hebrew literature. These trends emphasized the contribution of Oz's works to shaping Israeli cultural consciousness and reflect the challenges facing identity in multiple contexts. He was an advocate for equality between Palestinians and Israelis and

Smart fertilizer technologies: An environmental impact assessment for sustainable agriculture
...Show More Authors

The global food supply heavily depends on utilizing fertilizers to meet production goals. The adverse impacts of traditional fertilization practices on the environment have necessitated the exploration of new alternatives in the form of smart fertilizer technologies (SFTs). This review seeks to categorize SFTs, which are slow and controlled-release Fertilizers (SCRFs), nano fertilizers, and biological fertilizers, and describes their operational principles. It examines the environmental implications of conventional fertilizers and outlines the attributes of SFTs that effectively address these concerns. The findings demonstrate a pronounced environmental advantage of SFTs, including enhanced crop yields, minimized nutrient loss, improved nut

Proposed low Xilinx FPGA power consumption for recursive NOMA applied in optical visible light communication
...Show More Authors

Today the NOMA has exponential growth in the use of Optical Visible Light Communication (OVLC) due to good features such as high spectral efficiency, low BER, and flexibility. Moreover, it creates a huge demand for electronic devices with high-speed processing and data rates, which leads to more FPGA power consumption. Therefore; it is a big challenge for scientists and researchers today to recover this problem by reducing the FPGA power and size of the devices. The subject matter of this article is producing an algorithm model to reduce the power consumption of (Field Programmable Gate Array) FPGA used in the design of the Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) techniques applied in (OVLC) systems combined with a blue laser. However, The po

Viable Strategies to Increase Clinical Trial Patient Diversity
...Show More Authors

In the United States, the pharmaceutical industry is actively devising strategies to improve the diversity of clinical trial participants. These efforts stem from a plethora of evidence indicating that various ethnic groups respond differently to a given treatment. Thus, increasing the diversity of trial participants would not only provide more robust and representative trial data but also lead to safer and more effective therapies. Further diversifying trial participants appear straightforward, but it is a complex process requiring feedback from multiple stakeholders such as pharmaceutical sponsors, regulators, community leaders, and research sites. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to describe three viable strategies that can p

Abstract

There have been a number of positive developments in inclusive education in many different countries, recognizing that all students, including those with disabilities, have a right to education. Around the world, educators, professionals, and parents are concerned about including children with disabilities in mainstream schools along with their peers. As a result of this trend, a number of factors are contributing, including the increasing importance of education in achieving social justice for pupils with special education needs; the right of individuals with disabilities to attend mainstream schools together with their typically developing peers; the benefit of equal opportunities for everyone in achie
