This study was conducted to the college of education ( Ibn Al- Haitham ) – University of Baghdad ( 2001 – 2002 ) to evaluate the barley ( Hordeum vulgare L. ) response to effect of salinity  and salinity with calcium in the growth medium . Seed germination was carried out in petridishs by using the nutrient solution of Arnon and Hoagland containing different concentrations of NaCl ( 0,50,100 and 150 mM ) and these  concentrations with 5mM calcium  sulfate . Linearity of 97.3% for the range 5- 100 ppm. The repeatability of result was better than 0.8 % 0.5 ppm was obtanined as L.U. The present study aimed to evaluate the concentration of Malon dialdehyde (MDA) in pregnant women during different stages of pregnancy (stage of pregnancy, abortion, contraceptives and parity number).The study included (120) blood samples from normal pregnant women in age of the procreating were subdivided into three trimesters of pregnancy (40/group), and (40) samples from non-pregnant women as a control group. Awell-known estimator which satisfies both properties is the Minimum volume Ellipsoid Estimator (MVE) Computing the exact (MVE) is often not feasible, so one usually resorts to an approximate Algorithm. In the regression setup, algorithm for positive-break down estimators like Least Median of squares typically recomputed the intercept at each step, to improve the result.
