Lead has toxic effects on reproduction of both male and female.  It can cause decreased sex drive ,  infertility and abnormal menstrual cycle  in women.  This study was designed to evaluate the effect of exposure to lead in batteries female workers on sex hormones level in the serum.Thirty nine (39) female workers (volunteers) in Iraqi Batteries Manufacturing Plants, Al-Waziriya / Baghdad  were participated in this study.    A reseach is carried out by using Alumina material type α-Al2O3 which has partical size 63μm doped with different percentage weight of MgO (0.1%,0.3%and0.5%) and by using dry press method to prepare the samples ,A force press 50KN used and sintering to 1500oC with   soaking time  of  6 hours.        The physical properties were studied such as "Bulk density ,Porosity and water absorption "also the mechanical properties such as (hardness,compressive strength ), the result shows that the best ratio of maginsa(MgO) added to Alumina (Al2O3)is 0.5%and this  worked to improve   Physical and mechanical properties .

The main objective of this study is to develop predictive models using SPSS software (version 18) for Marshall Test results of asphalt mixtures compacted by Hammer, Gyratory, and Roller compaction. Bulk density of (2.351) gm/cc, at OAC of (4.7) % was obtained as a benchmark after using Marshall Compactor as laboratory compactive effort with 75-blows. Same density was achieved by Roller and Gyratory Compactors using its mix designed methods.

The experiment was conducted to study the effect of leaves extract of Salvia sclarea , Rosmarinus officinalis and Thymus vulgaris with 10% and 30% concentration on germination of seeds and growth of seedlings . The effect of these extracts on infection percentage of seeds decay and surface growth of Rhizoctonia solani . The results showed that the three extracts effected significantly to reduced percentage of seeds germination, acceleration of germination , promoter indicator , infection percentage of seeds decay and surface growth of R. solani especially in 30% concentration .
