The present investigation deals with experimental study of three-phase direct-contact heat exchanger, for water-Freon R11 system, where water is the continuous phase (liquid) and Freon R11 (liquid-gas) is the dispersed phase. New series of 2-mecapto benzoxazole derivatives (1-20) incorporated into fused to different nitrogen and suphur containing heterocyclic were prepared from 2-meracpto benzoxazole, when treated with hydrazine hydrate to afford 2-hydrazino benzoxazol (1). Compound (1) converted to a variety of pyridazinone andphthalazinone derivatives (2-4) by reaction with different carboxylic anhydride. In this work, optical system with elliptical aperture using point spread function was studied. This is due to its comparison with an optical system with a circular aperture. The present work deals with the theoretical study of intensity distribution within the image. In this work, a special formula was derived which is called the point spread function (PSF) by using a pupil function technique. The work deals with the limited optical system diffraction only (ideal system), and the system with focal shift. Also a graphic relation was founded between eccentricity and the best of focal depth given to at least (80%) of intensity.

Because of the contaminants represented by heavy metals in the aquatic
environment have an adverse effects need to be addressed, therefore, a laboratory
simulation was conducted on Cd using kaolinite that collected from Ga’ara Formation
as considered as a natural sorbent material that can be used to remove heavy metals
from aqueous environments. Mineralogical study was conducted on kaolinite using
X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (ESM) and Energy-
Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) for the purpose of investigating the microtexture.

Entropy generation was studied for new type of heat exchanger (shell and double concentric tubes heat exchanger). Parameters of hot oil flow rate, temperature of inlet hot oil and pressure drop were investigated with the concept of entropy generation. The results showed that the value of entropy generation increased with increasing the flow rate of hot oil and when cold water flow rate was doubled from 20 to 40 l/min, these values were larger. On the other hand, entropy generation increased with increasing the hot oil inlet temperature at a certain flow rate of hot oil.      In this work, the characterization and application of thin films composite incorporated titanium dioxide (TiO₂) (0.8)% volume ratio for (Rutile) nanostructure with poly [2- methoxy-5-(2’-ethylhexoxy-p-phenylene vinylene] (MEH-PPV) were deposited by a spin-coating technique. The optical properties for deposited (MEH-PPV/TiO₂) nanocomposite thin films have two peaks which are the Q-band in the visible region and B-band in ultraviolet. This study shows that the absorption spectrum of organic polymer mixing with TiO₂ increased with increasing the volume ratios TiO₂. The I-V characteristic of nanocomposite thin films shows that the current at dark and light condition
