In this study, the effect of ceramic coating on the performance and gases emission on diesel engine was investigated. A four-stroke, direct injected, single cylinder, diesel engine was tested at constant speed and at different load conditions without coating. Then, the inlet and exhaust valves faces were coated by about 500µm with ceramic materials. Ceramic layers were made of YttriaStabilized Zirconia (YSZ), and NiCrAl as a bond coat. The coating technique adapted in this work is the flame spray method. The engine with valves ceramiccoated research was tested for the same operation conditions of the engine (without coating). The results indicate a reduction in both fuel consumption by about 7.6% and particulate emissions by about (13% for HC and 14.5% for CO) with increasing in exhaust gases temperature after coating.

In this study the thermal conductivity of the epoxy composites were characterized as function of volume fraction, particle size of fillers and the time of immersion(30,60,90)days in water .Composites plates were prepared by incorporating (bi-directional) (0º-90º) glass fiber and silicon carbide (SiC) particles of (0.1,0.5,1)mm as particle size at (10%,20%,30%,40%) percent volume in epoxy matrix.
The composites shows slightly increase of the thermal conductivity with increasing volume fraction, particle size and increase with increasing the days of immersion in water. Drying triticale grain to moisture contents safe for storage can prevent infestation by rice weevils, but if grain is being stored for seed, high drying temperatures can affect seed germination. Grain can be effectively dried at low temperatures, but low-temperature drying is difficult in hot, humid regions such as the Gulf Coast. The purpose of this study was to see how sodium fluoride (Naf) affected liver function and the glycemic index in adult male albino rats.
