Removal of Cadmium Ions from Simulated Wastewater Using Rice Husk Biosorbent
...Show More Authors

Biosorption of cadmium ions from simulated wastewater using rice husk was studied with initial concentration of 25 mg/l. Equilibrium isotherm was studied using Langmuir, Freundlich, BET and Timken models. The results show that the Freundlich isotherm is the best fit model to describe this process with high determination coefficient equals to 0.983. There was a good compliance between the experimental and theoretical results. Highest removal efficiency 97% was obtained at 2.5g of adsorbent, pH 6 and contact time 100 min.

Use of chromogenic Agar in detection of urinary tract pathogens and antimicrobial Susceptibility
...Show More Authors

Background: HROM agar Orientation is a chromogenic medium used for the detection and differentiation of Gram’s negative and Gram’s positive pathogenic microorganisms in urine samples. Evaluation of CHROM agar Orientation for identification of urinary pathogens and susceptibility determinations in comparison to the ordinary media used.
Patients and Methods: A total of 375 midstream urine sample collected from patients with urinary tract infection (UTIs). CHROM agar Orientation, blood agar and macConkey agar media were used for direct inoculation.
Results: CHROM agar Orientation succeeded in detecting all the urine pathogens that were detected by the reference media, and antimicrobial Susceptibility

The Role of Antimullerian Hormone in the Diagnosis of Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrom.
...Show More Authors

Background: Polycystic vary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder, affecting up to 10% of women of reproductive age. The cardinal features of PCOS are hyperandrogenism (HA) and oligo-anovulation. Many work teams recently have relate the severity of PCOS with Anti mullerian hormone (AMH) or antral follicle count (AFC). Objective: 1) to confirm if there is an increase of serum AMH in this group of patients with PCOS, 2) to relate the AMH level to the follicle status at ultrasound (U/S) in this group, and 3) to search if AMH or AFC can serve as surrogate for the definition of PCOS.

Patients and methods: Twenty five (control) and anoth

This research is determined by the study of  the " cognitive references of the directorial imagination and modeling of  the theatrical actor performance ." it has described an Iraqi theatrical model, The research began with the great importance of the director's imagination as the basic premise for crystallizing the  director's vision according to its cognitive references in creating a solid performance model based on the aesthetic, intellectual and technical bases, It is also contributes to the formation of the theatrical show as a technical framework that presents the show in one unified fabric.

The research sought to reach through the problem of research, which is in the question of: What is the modeling of the

FLEXURAL DUCTILITY OF STRUCTURAL CONCRETE MEMBERS SUBJECTED TO LIMITED CYCLES OF REPEATED LOADING
...Show More Authors

For structural concrete members that may expose to serious earthquake, overload or accident impact, the design of ductility must be given the same importance as the flexural strength. The aim of this investigation is to study the change in ductility of structural concrete flexural members during their exposure to limited cycles of repeated loading. Twenty full-scale beam specimens have been fabricated in to two identical groups; each group consisted of ten specimens. The first group was tested under monotonic static loading to failure and regarded as control beams, while the specimens of the second group were subjected to ten cycles of repeated loading with constant load interval, which ranged between 40% and 60% of ultimate load. The current research addressed (the manifestations of selfhood and otherness in Indian schools of photography) through studying the concept of selfhood and otherness and their manifestations in Indian miniatures scenes for the period (1625-1790). The researcher, in the first chapter, sought to clarify the research problem, importance, and the need for it, in addition to the objective of the study represented by the following: "how did selfhood and otherness manifest in the Indian schools of photography?". The researcher, then, concluded the aforementioned chapter by defining the terms that have direct relation to the title and the objectives of the research. As for the second chapter, it consists of an overview for the theoretical framew

The concept of aesthetics is one of the postmodern propositions, and it is one of the branches of philosophy that examines beauty, its standards and theories, and it is a holistic concept that includes several concepts, including the beautiful, the ugly, and the sublime.
The concept of aesthetics dealt with several studies in general (and in the field of architecture in particular), and the problem of aesthetics is in the blurring of the relationship between aesthetics and architectural criticism, based on the research hypothesis which states that there is a relationship between aesthetics and architectural criticism. The importance of the research in accommodating aesthetic standards and bases of evaluation that increases the possi

Use of Coliphages as an indicators of enteroviruses and faecal pollution in Water
...Show More Authors

In spite of increasing clinical cases which caused by enteroviruses transferred by water and no documents about entericviruses in the Iraqi water standards. The use of coliphages as an indicator of enteroviruses and fecal pollution were suggested two procedures were applied . The first is Two-Step Enrichment Method and the second is Single Agar Layer Method. Both methods gives good results in Identification of coliphages through testing fifty different water samples (Tap water, Surface water and Bottled water) the study shows the presence of coliphages in fourteen samples.

Temperature Dependence of AC Conductivity and Complex Dielectric Constant of Cd2Si1-xGexO4 Compound
...Show More Authors

In this work, samples of Cd2Si1-xGexO4 prepared by powder technology for (x = 0, 0.3, 0.6) were studied. The effect of (Ge) additives at different ratio of Ge (x=0, 0.3, 0.6) on the behavior of dielectric constant, dielectric loss and a,c conductivity were measured as a function of temperature at a selected frequencies (0.01 – 10) MHz in the temperature range 298 K to 473 K. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss obtained different behavior with the additives of (Ge). The activation energy for the electrical conduction process was studied.
