The current work utilizes the peel and pulp of the Iraqi eggplant to remove Alizarin Red S dye (ARS) from an aqueous solution. The isotherms of adsorption were studied and the factors that the effect them: temperature, the effect of surface nature and effect of ionic strength. The isotherms of adsorption of ARS on the peel were found obey the Freundlich, equation, but the isotherms of adsorption on the pulp were found to obey the Langmuir equation. At different temperatures, the adsorption process was studied, and it was found that when the temperature decreased, the adsorption increased. The adsorption behavior of congo red dye from its aqueous solutions was investigated onto natural and modified bauxite clays. Both bauxite and modified bauxite are primarily characterized by using, FTIR, SEM, AFM, and XRD. Several variables are studied as a function of adsorption including contact time, adsorbent weight, pH, ionic strength, particle size and temperature under batch adsorption technique. The absorbance of the solution before and after adsorption was measured spectrophotometrically. Aspartate aminotransferase was purified from urine and serum of patients with type 2 diabetes in a 2 steps procedure involving dialysis bag and sephadex G-25 gel filtration (column chromatography). The enzyme was purified 346.23 fold with 1467% yield and 3.46 fold with 142.85% yield in urine and serum of patients with type 2 diabetes respectively. The purified enzyme showed single peak. The results of this study revealed that AST activity of type 2 diabetes urine and serum increased significantly (p<0.001) compared with control group.
