Evaluation of Convective Heat Transfer and Natural Circulation in an Evacuated Tube Solar Collector
...Show More Authors

The evacuated tube solar collector ETC is studied intensively and extensively by experimental and
theoretical works, in order to investigate its performance and enhancement of heat transfer, for Baghdad climate
from April 2011 till the end of March 2012. Experimental work is carried out on a well instrumented collector
consists of 16 evacuated tubes of aspect ratio 38.6 and thermally insulated tank of volume 112L. The relation
between convective heat transfer and natural circulation inside the tube is estimated, collector efficiency, effect of
tube tilt angles, incidence angle modifier, The solar heating system is investigated under different loads pattern (i.e
closed and open flow) to evaluate the heat loss coefficient from tank and tubes, test the collector with various
aspect ratios (32.9 and 27.2). The enhancement in collector performance is studied by using two reflectors (Flat
Plate and Curved Plate) and nanofluid (Water-AL2O3).Theoretical work is run by software (Fluent 6.3), to compute
the velocity and temperature profiles within the tube, for different tube diameters, effect of tube junction angle and
stagnant region in the bottom of the evacuated tube. The experimental results shows that the heat loss coefficient
for tube is W/m2.K and for tank is W/m2.K, the maximum collector temperature is 79°C in winter and
99°C in summer, while that belong to nanofluid collector is 99°C in winter. The best tilted angle (optimum) of
evacuated tube is 41° annually. The collector efficiency increased when using nanofluid of (1, 0.6, 0.3)% volume
fraction as(28.4, 6.8, 0.6)% respectively. The efficiency decreases as (33, 62)% when decreasing tube aspect ratio
from 38.6% to 32.9% and 27.2% respectively. An increase of (16.9 and 7.08)% in collector efficiency is obtained
when using curved and flat plate reflectors respectively. From simulation the best junction angle of the tank is
22.5°. The stagnant region is influenced with changing heat flux, tilted angle and aspect ratio.

Discourse Markers in Political Speeches: Forms and Functions
...Show More Authors

Discourse markers are expressions used to connect sentences to what comes before or after and indicate a speaker's attitude to what he is saying. As linguistic items, they have important functions in discourses of various styles or registers. And being connective elements, discourse markers relate sentences, clauses and paragraphs to each other. "One of the most prominent function of discourse markers, however, is to signal the kinds of relations a speaker perceives between different parts of the discourse". (Lenk 1997: 2) Through political discourse, different types of discourse markers are used. This paper deals with the importance and functions of discourse markers and tries to shed light on the kinds of discourse markers used in polit

Grammatical and rhetorical methods   In Surat Al - Iftar

I started writing the research because of the linguistic and rhetorical methods in the Holy Quran.
This Sura included in all its verses the plural form such as the word planets graves and seas except the word sky was singular as the name of a genus, and this Sura showed the horrors of the Day of Judgment at the world level Included another science is the science of the interview and also came in the repetition and deletion and other linguistic and rhetorical things and concluded this Sura that the goal of breaking the sky and scattering planets and scatter graves is the human himself.
The Koran is a miracle immortal and science is still drawn from him each according to his specialty.

Deception in Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s Trials
...Show More Authors

Deception is defined as a linguistic and non-linguistic behavior that is used in interaction in order to make the addressees believe what is believed to be false or lack evidence. McCornack (1992) classifies deception into four manipulative strategies (i.e., fabrication, distortion, equivocation and concealment), other scholars argue that deception encompasses the strategies of “fabrication (outright lying), equivocation (being vague and ambiguous), or concealment (with holding relevant information) Thus, the present study investigates the deception strategies and motives that are used by Johnny Depp and Amber Heard during their defamation trials. Qualitative and quantitative methods are employed when analyzing the data in question. Th

The aesthetic and communicative " dimensions in t.v photo"
...Show More Authors

T.V photo in modern shows has emerged with special characteristics and signs that have developed in cope with the development of medium and technique. This leads to adding a variety of aesthetic dimensions which are capable of attracting audience because of its communicative elements that have an important role in increasing of T.V show Watching. As a result, the research is limited to methodological Framework as the problem. The problem of the research deals with emerging the aesthetic dimensions of T.V photo. The major question is (what are the aesthetic and communicative dimension of T.V Photo?). The research aims at finding out the aesthetic dimensions of T.V photo in modern artworks. The significance of the research on the presented

Lornoxicam-Loaded Cubosomes: - Preparation and In vitro Characterization.
...Show More Authors

Cubosomes are nanosized structures self-assembled nanostructured materials used for controlling the release of the entrapped drug molecule. Lornoxicam (LXM) is a potent analgesic nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) drug with a short half-life (3-4) hours. The present study aims to prepare LXM-loaded cubosomes with well-defined morphology, particle size, PDI, high entrapment efficiency, sustained drug release, and high zeta potential value, as a transdermal drug delivery system.

Twelve formulas of LXM-loaded cubosomal dispersions were prepared by a solvent dilution method using Glyceryl monooleate ( GMO) as polar lipid with different stabilizers as Pluronic® F127 or tween 80 and different types o

Abstract

The research aims at achieving a set of objectives, which is to study a vital variable in the organizations which is the talent management and its impact on encouraging and empowering employees to take part in making appropriate decisions with their heads in the Iraqi Cement State Company. The problem of this research is in finding solutions to the weaknesses that face the managers in attracting talented employees and keep them in the company, and this leads to a weak capacity of the company on authorizing talented employees and giving them the needed confidence to participate in decision making process. The research sample was included (45) managers in the researched company. Th

Aims Nurses are key members of the health care team, providing competent care for individuals, families, and communities in elective or emergent conditions. When nurses are involved in disaster management without proper preparation, their capacity to deliver care may be significantly compromised. However, assessment nurses’ perceptions of disaster preparedness and core competence are limited. The study assessed the nurses’ perception of disaster preparedness and core competence. And the association between sociodemographic characteristics and disaster preparedness and core competence. Instrument & Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted from February 22 to August 15, 2024, in four teaching hospitals (Baghdad Teaching Hospital,

Effect of potassium fertilization and organic nutrient (Reef Amirich) in the population density of Bemisia tabaci (Genn.) and Thrips tabaci (L.) on cucumber
...Show More Authors

A field study was conducted at the college of Agriculture, Baghdad University-Jadiriyah to investigate the effect of adding potassium fertilizer and organic nutrient (Reef Amirich) on the population density of two sucking pests of cucumber, cotton whitefly, Bemisia tabaci and onion thrips, Thrips tabaci during the spring season/2016. Results indicated that potassium sulphate (50, 100 and 150 kg/ha) and organic nutrient (0.8 and 1.6ml/l) reduced both the population density of B. tabaci and T. tabaci nymphs depending on the fertilizer level of the user, the treatment 150 kg/ha for the potassium fertilizer and 1.6 ml/L for organic nutrient was the highest among others when minimized density of nymphs by 1.62 nymphs of B. tabaci/disk leaf and 0
