New chelating ligand derived from triazole and its complexes with metal ions Rhodium, Platinum and Gold were synthesized. A new Schiff base, 2-N( 4- N,N – dimethyl benzyliden )5 – (p- methoxy phenyl) – 1,3,4- thiodiazol ,and their metal complexes Cu (Π) ,Ni (Π),         Fe (III) , Pd (Π) , Pt (IV) , Zn(Π) ,V(IV) and Co (Π) , were synthesized.        Six transition metal complexes of Cr (III), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) were prepared using 1,2-bis -(4-Amino-2,3-dimethyl-1- phenyl-pyrazolinyl)-diimino ethane(L) as ligand.  These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, UV/VIS and FT-IR spectroscopy.
