Background: Joubert syndrome (JS) is a very rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by agenesis of cerebellar vermis, abnormal eye movements, respiratory irregularities, and delayed generalized motor development. Forth terrestrial invertebrates snails, slug, isopods, and diplopods , were selected for this study.
